Niinii, Chelsea under Clearlake are operating under a different model from Roman. We are buying these young talents directly from these South American markets for relatively less rather than having to pay double for them as polished products years later from the likes of Benfica, Porto etc. These are relatively low risk low fee transfers that would either bear fruit and we end up with huge talents at Chelsea or if not we can sell and they will have a decent career elsewhere. You can’t blame Clearlake for mistakes made with young foreign talents during the Roman years. If anything they are proving via Palmer, Jackson, Gusto, Petrovic that they have a keen eye for young talent. Angelo Gabriel and Andre Santos may well break into these team over the next few years given their successful loans. If say Paez and Estavao develop into top players, or prove that they are good enough to play for us, then let them come in and compete for places with Palmer, Madueke, Mudryk and Hutchinson. There should be no sacred cows in our team and a players place should be based on merit. I chose to be optimistic. I’m not saying that Paez and Willian are guaranteed to be world beaters. If they turn out to be, good! If not, we have players already who are or can be. Remember that the PL has expanded the size of match day squads. If we have European football next year, we will need a good amount of players. In any case, Paez and Willian aren’t joining until 2025. Nothing guarantees that Sterling or Mudryk who haven’t pulled up trees yet will be here then.

Hutchinson is probs gonna go loan to ispwich, we signed him on a free so the board might just sell him on after that. Angelo and santos will stay at strasbourg for atleast another season as both of them are having decent first seasons there. Estavio will come next year and probably will be on and off with first and development team to get settled to English football and culture.

I think Paez and Palmer arent necessarily right wingers but CAM's and both of them will be fighting for that spot. The right wing is where we have more options and I see Angelo Gabriel being loaned to Strasbourg again and then sold off for profit cause I do not think we see him as a future first team player if we are signing Willian and we could possibly make some profit on him with the amount we signed him for. I think Hutchinson goes on loan to a premier league team next season and it is between him and Noni for the starting spot the season after with Willian on the bench.

Don't mean to be a downer, but often times these types of players don't work out. According to the media, there are 25-30 or more new 'wonder kids' every summer. How many make it to the level expected? These kids have to make like 4 steps up from now to where we want them to be: a south American league > to say Champoinship, Portuguese, French league level > mid table Premier league or la liga > doing it or contributing significantly to a top4 Premier league team (us). It's quite the jump, the difference between doing it in S America and contributing to winning or competing for the PL is huge. I really hope they work out, but to do so we need to get their development spot on. If we loan them, it needs to be at least 2 good ones in a row. If we keep them in the squad, we need a manager who is very good at improving youths, but they also need to be at the level to get a fair bit of game time in PL. We should reassess how much Poch has improved our current youngsters at the end of the season.

Having our sister clubs like Strasbourg in UCL will be more appealing for loan deals also if BlueCo get Strasbourg firing their fans will ease towards BlueCo.

Olise is a baller BUT I’m wary of players with recent injuries. Shields is the tine breaker so I’m down. Estevao and Paez are the only youth we have bought that I’ve watched play extensively. They both seem the real deal. I’m curious to see what players make it. I think we sell half of the youngers we buy before they ever kick on with us.

If we get Olise and Osimhen, then I think it is sufficient for this season. Probably Leif Davis too, if he will be a cheap option.

Our many players are going for at the same time. This William Estavo plays from the right, why going for Oliseh again. We have a lot of player on loan and we also have a lot that have not even kick a ball this season. Chelsea should be specific of whom they want to buy that going for every young player available.
