"It's Dangerous Outside, Come In My House!" 🇧🇷 (

I had come to Salvador in Northeast Brazil, a famous yet often overlooked part of the country. My plan was simple: I would rent a car and drive through the region, getting to know the real Brazil along the way. But before that, I had to explore Salvador, a city with an unfortunate reputation of being the most dangerous in the country.
What I found in the favelas that day shocked me, but not in the way I expected..

@@The-Real-Ando Thats true, but there are many stories in the news of foreign men being robbed/killed in Latin America by gangsters. They use women to sweet talk the man, get him drunk, then rob and kill him. But I agree, this woman seems genuine and nice. Its true theres more nice people than bad people but in many countries scamming and robbing people is normal.

@@tubester4567 I know what you say is true and I got robbed in the Seychelles. I have left bars when I think I’m going to get jumped, by some locals in Thailand (muay Thai), I’ve had racist comments made to me (Taiwan) when the boys are buzzing on betel nut in the back blocks, but I don’t react. Still over all, I hold that most people are mostly good. Stuff can go down anywhere, anytime, local or foreigner in any country that’s true. I’m from New Zealand a country that is ‘safe’, but people still get robbed and worse. It’s a luck/karma thing, but also don’t be dumb. Sabbatical has a really good way about him, he glides in and out of all sorts because he’s not an ahole and that will take you a long way with most people, and that is exactly why this kind woman is giving him the heads up. But the kicker is he can talk to them in their own language, and that shows respect, just the normal kind but it blows people away time and time again, because he gives a f and doesn’t give a f. ☮️

The formation of beach dunes is a complex geological process that includes a combination of just the right amount of sediment, rainfall and constant wind action. What is more interesting is that at least some of the sand in those dunes actually originated in the Sahara and was blown over by trans Atlantic wind currents. There's more of Africa in Brazil than you taught!

Dunes are always amazing especially being a landform popping up in the tropics. Many Pacific Islands that are volcanic in nature have black mountains, black rocks & black sand on the beaches , Occasionally you will cross an odd white sand beach, which for a long time made me curious of how the white sand got there when most all the other beaches on an island had black sand, come to find out that whenever you find a white sand beach on a black volcanic island good chances if go out into the shallows just outside of tidal waters you'll find a long established habitat of marine life, coral reefs or a profusion of Shelled crabs & Crustaceons or both, the broken down shells & coral are the sole source of the sand and its alot brighter white than usual white sand erodes out from the shorelines & rivers in to the ocean that create most beaches, where as on a black sand beach the tidal zones will likely no established reefs or habitat for bottom critters.
