I bet he knows a lot more than he "knows". We saw in second film, that at least once he willingly neuralyzed himself, to forget. So who knows what other secrets dwell in his mind.

I love the sigh of relief K does when J puts the watch down. It’s an unspoken gesture from J to K to let him know he’s back and everything and I mean everything is back to normal.

@@papi1999 Right, and now they can openly talk about it and other things from their past as friends and K watching J. There are temporal laws that the MIB has to follow and not telling others about their past or future if they don't know about it. And by the way. when J told Brolin K a few things about his future he broke a few laws that he would have been neurolized for if past K would have told anyone about it.

In an episode of Sliders they only have a few minutes to decide if the world they landed on is theirs. So Quinn says the gate in front of his house always squeaks. They try it and no squeak so they jump again. Then his mother comes put the house with a guy and thanks him for fixing the squeak in the gate.

I really want to believe K recruited him back in the first movie already aware of everything, so the whole franchise would be a huge paradox if was not the last movie, this also explains how K already knew about his personality so well

Nah they did not think that far ahead, they didn't even know if the first movie was gonna do well, K could've easily ran a background check on J before recruiting him which explains how he knew all about him in the first movie

However, from a film watcher standpoint, watching 1-3 with no breaks, it really seems like K was interested in J more than him wanting to retire, so with out thinking about how the movies were made, like with story broads and all that, I like this idea that K knew all along.

Yeah K has definitely been folowing J for his entire childhood, since he instantly knew who to pull up when J mentioned his 3rd grade teacher
I love how nobody makes it weird. J doesn't make a dumb sitcom-y comment, K doesn't get all stony and wreck the mood, they let it be a genuine moment between the two of them and seamlessly move back into "friendly coworker mode" when it's done. Excellent way to end the movie!

@@pugtie4695 Because the one timeline where the meteor hits also happens to be the one where K doesn’t leave a tip, the two events aren’t connected in a cause-and-effect scenario, but Griffin knows that if K didn’t leave a tip then they had entered the timeline where the meteor hits as the two events only occur in that one possible future. So if he knows that one occurred then the other certainly will, as the only timeline in which that one occurs has the other also occurring.

@@pugtie4695 it's exactly as Sebn8r said. Griffin can see all the multiple future which could happen from different time lines. To recognize in which time line he actually is and consequentially which future will take place he uses some "marker events", those are events in close proximity to him which are not constant in all the timelines but happen only in 1. At that time and place the "marker event" for recognizing the timeline in which the earth get destroyed by a meteorite was K not leaving the tip.
This movies ending was a good way to tie everything from the trilogy together in terms of jay and Kay's relationship. I'm glad they didnt ruin it with a fourth. I know they did MIB international but it had different characters.

Will Smith is coming back to fourth MIB
K had two children : J and Laura. He was willing to let her go just after meeting her for the first time, knowing he'd never see his daughter again. He took care of J his whole life in memory of what his father did for him. I'd say K is a damn good father.

Watching this again I can't help but feel a part of why K was so hesitant to tell J was because he felt responsible for the death of J's father, and thought J might blame him for it. That's why he choked up when J thanked him. Needless to say at this point though, Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith are damn good actors!
This movie is so good at doing a retcon that it makes the first two films better. It makes K’s insistence on recruiting J make a lot more sense. He *had* to.

This was a wonderful series. “Your daddy is a hero.” Gets me every time.
In thought: “I just want to say thank you” / “its been my privilege” - can also be attributed to the fact that this was the last MIB film they’d do together so in some way, this interaction is so much more.
If there's one thing I love about how J&K work together, it's like both father/son and partners. Take notes, CW, this is how you write good relationships.
This is basically their way of sending off Tommy Lee Jones.

With Will and Tommy they did. Fourth is more of a reboot with actors they thought would work well together in one film then bring them over but add a off the wall storyline that failed.

Perfectly emotional end to the series. Tommy Lee's "It's been an honor" still gets to me. Subtle, yet powerful delivery of that line. It’s a MasterClass in real acting all by itself. 🙌🏾🔥
Look how powerful a scene can be when you have 2 top tier actors.

I like to think that once J took out the watch K realized that what he was really talking about was the fact that he kept an eye on J all this time after his father got killed, so when he says “It’s been my privilege” He means that as in it’s been my privilege to help you through life
I like how k saved him from being arrested in the first one after the alien jumped off the roof and he knew who his third grade teacher was too lol

That slow zoom in on J's face.... It was brief but I could feel the relief on his face. Such a great movie
the "How the hell do I know what I don't know?!" line always gets me. such a hilarious response to J's question.
J & K are a marvelous team
What a great ending to a great trilogy.
God I love this Movie. I always tell myself I'm dead inside but watching a story I grew up with and seeing it finally come to an end really just breaks me down in a happy way. Makes me proud to have been able to experience this franchise through out my entire life span.
Even it's a comedy Sci-fi, I feel really heart warming and touch the moment J open the door and sees his partner back as normal from dead.
The best movie in the franchise. So underrated.
Even though K doesn't show it, scolds him but he really cares for J from the first movie like his son.
Perfect end scene of a great trilogy. I sure miss them together.
That gut looks like a cross between Robin Williams and Frodo

K’s been watching over and protecting J his whole life. What a good friend.
The moment with the watch was very multifaceted. K knew that J completed the mission and that J now knows the whole truth about his father. best moment in the whole movie
I absolutely loved this scene, it was a wonderful conclusion to the movies.
It's not often one of the sequels is better than the first movie, but MiB 3 is a definite example of a sequel being the best in the series.
I love how people never actually eat their food in movies. But to be fair, there are practical reasons from a filmmaking perspective.

@@Hanbaolaoshi I've noticed that when actors do eat food, its usually before a camera cut or the end of the scene, or they just don't have any dialog. Also, pie can sit out for a while without going bad. It's not like a Thanksgiving turkey thats been sitting out all day, being slathered with motor oil to make it look fresh lol. Some of the food they use in filmmaking would literally be inedible anyway

Yeah, used to be a thing I had a pet-peave about, but after the stories of people like Charlie Chaplin and Daniel Radcliffe just blowing chunks because of eating and reshooting so many times, I definitely get it.

One of the best endings to a trilogy I’ve ever seen.
I adore this movie! My hands-down favorite of the 3. Griff is my favorite character in all 3 movies too.

Which led to J leading the life he did, being recruited, and going back to see why. It's kind of a paradox.
A very touch moment and then back to the hilarious talk. I love this trilogy (MIB II not to far)

The trilogy started with K's first appearance and ends with K's last appearance....
I love how they ended this era of J and K for this trilogy. Not saying they should remake the films (although with Brolin and prolly a new J, that aint unlikely), but with how old Tommy Lee is right now I feel like this is the perfect way to end their (Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones) run on these 2 characters. This franchise was my childhood and is still is a comfort for me to watch.

Tommy Lee Jones was in the movie for 10 minutes and still stole the show
The meteor scene at the end. It means a meteorite is gonna hot earth while k is still alive. That would be something to watch

its a tradition in these movies to do something at the end that makes all life seem small and insignificant, im glad they actually did something a little different here unlike the second film where they just rehashed the first movies final moment (it did have an alternate ending but it felt very tacked on so im glad they cut it)
