His second tour saw him flying close air support missions in a Apache helicopter. He flew support for American and coalition forces. He came home and helped vets. What did you do when you came back from your combat deployment?

The Invictus Games are great but Meghan Markle should not be front and centre. She is an insult to the nature of the games. That's the problem.

There is more to the T Foundation than meets the eye. Wife started it...they had no kids. She remarried and had 5 kids ,the hubby is the CE|O of the foundation along with her, taking large salaries and expenses so not much given out. But it should be given to one who is loyal to his country ,is courageous and is respected for his unselfish actions! Sadly Harry meets none of these criteria ! I think you are right that not many people outside of the US would have heard of Pat Tillman unless you were in the military. My daughter served in the Australian Defence Force for 22 years and she has read Pat's story and she got me to read it. What an inspiration of a man and a soldier, all the things that Harry isn't. He has two days to step aside. Will he have the guts to do that I wonder? 🇦🇺

Very true, l hadn't heard of Pat Tillman and I'm really impressed with both him and his Mother, other countries have their own honours and decorations so there's no need to tarnish this Award by giving it to an ex- Royal who never distinguished himself anyway. The British Royals have plenty of ex-Military who would be more than honoured to present the Award but would refuse it if offered and probably suggest at least that it be given to an American but they're real Royals and have read the job description

Robert Jobson along with many other journalists has his head in the sand about Harry. Their mantra seems to be "Harry founded the Invictus Games" when he didn't. Why don't these so-called journalists do some real investigative journalism and dig deep.

Robert misses the point. I've no problem with Invictus Games being acknowledged - and if they want to acknowledge the Games they should give the award to the Invictus Foundation. Until Meghan arrived, and suddenly, she's giving the speeches and leading the parade in a never ending series of overpriced designer outfits. Completely took the attention off the athletes.

The reason the Invictus Games has such a shady reputation is because of the patron and his grifting wife. They have made Invictus about themselves and not the athletes.

Yes, that is a great idea, though I think that was the original intention of the charity, but somehow Harry got involved, a patron of the IG's. There are tons of selfless veterans,families, communities & supporters, who have done so much more than Harry! He is spoilt, entitled & very dim.

So again - not worthy of this award. Harry has gone from highlighting and supporting others to needing highlting and support himself.

Gary Sinise is a wonderful example of service to Veterans.

Harry’s never had an original thought in his life. He copied in victors games from the US is warrior games. What else has he done that he hasn’t copied from someplace else he needs to get a life he was sick of him and his wife trying to take over everything make everything about him and her and not the soldiers in the Veterans like it should be. I’m done with those two idiots.

WHY would he be STUNNED? There's No comparison between the 2 of them Pat Tillman knew the meaning of HONOR, LOYALTY, RESPECT and SACRIFICE, while the " other" DOESN'T have a clue what those words mean.

Oh please - Harry didn't do the hard work to get these games up and running HE had HELP - And no offence but he betrayed his Commander in Chief in the last 4 years. He has done nothing for the games in the last 4 years either and is just the FACE of them now. If the Invictus games are getting this award then give it to a Veteran on the board and not a man whose let his wife take over the games

H only served for a short time and he was well guarded. He wasnt there long. He DOES NOT deserve that award. He did nothing.

Jobson, firstly he is not an American he disagrees with the 1st amendment. Secondly the entire RF created the Invictus games for Harry, to keep him on the straight and narrow. 3rdly Meghan has spent 6 years destroying these games and spending money for the participants, on her wardrobe.

He wasnt nominated. His PR team contacted the awards to offer the grifters as publicity. Its nothing to do with deserving the award. Just more grifting.

Why is it so important to Harry that HE receive this award? If it really is for Invictus, why does Harry not get one of the staff - who actually TOILs to make Invictus happen - to get up on stage to collect the award on behalf of Invictus? He gets Invictus - effectively the veterans - to pay his and Meghan’s ridiculous, extravagant expenses. How many veterans could Invictus have helped with all that money? What does he actually do to promote the games? No-one knows ANYTHING about the athletes taking part in these games therefore, people are not invested in these games. That is why people are not watching these games. Did you see all those empty seats in Germany last year? Look at his and Meghan's trip to Nigeria, allegedly to promote Invictus. What did they do to show the facilities available for the wounded?? NOTHING!!! Did Harry visit any of the veterans' FAMILIES to see how they are managing, and find out what their struggles are? NO!!! Did Harry find out how the veterans are preparing for next year's games? NO!!! Did Harry explore ways in which Invictus could help the veterans with preparations, travel, etc? NO!!! Harry did NONE of that!!! However, what did we hear about, ad nauseum? MEGHAN!!! No! Harry is NOT deserving of this award. IMO.

The royal family and their staff created the Invictus Games. Not Harry !!!!!! HARRY COULDN'T PUT TOGETHER A 2 CAR FUNERAL. It was given to him to help prop up his image. He is hanging on with his teeth because this is the only decent thing he is associated with. I think he should lose his patronage of the games and the Invictus Games and the Warrior Games should become one wonderful platform for wounded vets all over the world attended by all of the heads of states that support it and enjoyed and supported by the common people. He shouldn’t have let the games become about his wife’s costume changes. They did this to themselves by promoting themselves and not highlighting actual veterans who are competing.

Harry did not come up with the idea for Invictus nor the initial funding. Harry did not set the games up. All of that was done by the "grey suits" working for the RF, yes, by the hard-working pros that he has repeatedly sneered at. Harry does not do any of the work to run the games now. As a (formerly royal) patron, he just showed up for photo-ops and to meet-and-greet the veterans. That's fine, BTW, and he was very good at it. Fast forward and Invictus has become little more than an excuse for the attention hungry Harkles to flounce here and there to promote her fashions (!) and their "brand." When did the shift in Harry's devotion to vets become evident? Was it when he canceled a long-standing engagement with disabled vets to attend the Lion King premiere so he could beg the Disney bosses to hire his wife? Or was it when he thought it appropriate to have his wife lead the march of vets at the last games? I don't know ---- but it has all become a joke.
