And for another piece of advice there are no reward differences between playing tiger tiger on normal vs easy. Easy mode was added in an update and the only change it has is that touching wall tiles won't damage you. Its best to clear out as many enemies as you can on your way down so that the way up is easier. Turtles can only be killed from below and jellyfish can only be killed from above. The red shark at the end will require multiple hits so be careful. I can explain Poppiswap more accurately later when you need it but for now i don't want to overwhelm you. You can get by just fine without interacting with Poppi's mechanics but its good to know.

And just so you know core chips are consumable upgrades, once you use one to change a blade's stats it is used up. Don't be afraid to use them but also make sure you only apply them once you are confident with what you want.

I knew there was a high level of complexity but I didn't remember it was like this. Every episode feels like a new tutorial. It never freaking ends. I bet it's hard to remember all that stuff they shoot at you one after the other. Xenoblade 3 reduces a lot the complexity. And I am glad.

The main culprit in overwhelming new players imo are not the tutorials alone, but the UI as well. Menus are ugly and sometimes unclear and the battle UI focuses too much on fancy design than on conveying information. Most importantly the connection between Driver Arts, Blade Arts and the path of the combo is not highlighted enough visually and the wohle UI looks overcrowded. It would have been better if they used a simpler design, so they can visualize all the combos (also break-topple-...) more clearly. Especially when you use many blades the UI does not help that much in finding the right blade/art in the right time. If you are used to everything the UI is okay, but for beginners it is not optimal. I generally prefer the UIs Monolith made since XC1DE.

@@mrmiesfies3941 Yeah, and going back after a few years without playing can feel overwhelming too. They created a fairly fun system but a very inefficient one. The UI is a problem but come on, so many elements overlap each other in the mechanics. The game is bloated, that's the problem, they were way too ambitious. And they added so much stuff that they didn't have time to really showoff the blades themselves. I heard in some interview that the blades' combat wasn't finished, the combat they were tryign to achieve is the one we find in Torna: Playable characters. But they didn't have time, too many unnecessary mechanics to add before that. You see those amazing looking blades, incapable of fighting, just posing next to your player. Just looking at the enemy, wtf. They fight in the cutscenes. Why not in the game? Bad management, I tell you. They were so used to work with very limited resources that they didn't know how to better use the resources given by Nintendo. Fortunately they learned a lot for Xenoblade 3.

So I got to you a bit late but I'd advise not looking at the blade album as the silouette's can quite easily spoil you on future blades, especially if you have the expansion pass.

Poppy has the potential to be the best blade in the game... but that potential is locked behind that mini game. The mini game itself isn't bad but it takes SO MANY HOURS to get it done... it can be so grindy and repetitive... kind of a missed opportunity. I am noticing that my comments are kind of negative. It will get better when we get all these tutorials behind.
