Hi Evan & Rebecca, I am elderly, 74 years young and I have watched over 50 videos from you in the last few days and the way you treat all the animals, the chickens, turkeys, goats, ducks, pigs and bulls appeals to me greatly. 👍👍👍 I myself am not a farmer although as a child I wanted to be one. You give the animals, as long as they live before they are slaughtered, everything their hearts desire! That is the way of farming in my eyes! I watch a lot of KZread and specially anything related to the farm scene and you guys jump far way above that by yards. I also see a lot of commercial farmers too who only think about dollars instead of the animals. Congratulations on your way of keeping animals !!!!! 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂 Greetings from Belgium.

Your shirt is the reason she was so calm. Her thought is, I got you back Ha Ha Ha. Enjoy your videos and watching you work with the animals. I saw you put the seasoning on the chicken. I found some at Dollar Tree called Memphis Style BBQ seasoning. It is very good and a large container of it is $1.25. I think you would like it.

Nice cleanup on the old chicken coop!! I was secretly coveting the concrete blocks 😁. I could see a nice raised bed being built with them. I've always been pretty much of a perfectionist in what I do. I'm not saying it's always necessary, just how I'm wired. So it's nice to watch someone else work who "sees" things the same way 😄👍. I really appreciate what you two are building together there. Well done!!

I really like your grapple, it does a great job picking those blocks and post as well as the other debris from the old chicken coupe. Yeah, 13 chickens is what we have too, with a refrigerator full of eggs. I like your turkey, Gertie, she's adorable, obviously she didn't care for you holding her, while your wife cut her wing. Nice video, thanks for sharing, I hope you all have a nice evening and a great weekend.

Hello guys, This was really an enjoyable video with many things to do but each one of them in themselves was quite interesting. I really like how you split the garden hose into a “Y” joints to create a Sprinkler for the pigs. They sure love that almost as much is they love them scrambled eggs w/ bread. In all the years I’ve been watching pigs, I have never seen one pig lay his whole body over the entire amount of food so no one else can get any!! I think it was the funniest thing I’ve ever seen. It reminded me of a few people I know and I’m sure everybody can think of someone like that themselves even though they don’t literally throw themselves on the food they pile their play so high and make sure they go through the picnic line or the holiday line of food first and they have so much food on their plate you wonder if there’s any left for anyone else. Anyway those are some cute pigs and they really had fun playing in the sprinkler😊❣️ I don’t think I ever saw anyone clips of wings of their turkey. She should give you a run for your money before you Caught her !!! I don’t know about anybody else but that kind of bothers me when you clipper wings because it looks like it hurts but I know it doesn’t. I’ve had many of it tell me so… They say it’s like cutting up toenail and if it keeps her safe then I’m totally understanding of it. Anyway thanks for a great video & thank you for Being such sweet people😊♥️♥️

You guys are so good to your animals. Great animal husbandry going on here. It is great to see the calm voice you use when talking to your animals. They respond to tone just like dogs. I cringe when I see "homesteaders" having pigs and no wallow or shade. Or "homesteaders" that buy property and animals before they have proper housing for them. Then they wonder why they jump fences and or get sick and die.

A pole with a heavy wire nailed to the end and the end of the wire is doubled back on itself fairly tight the loop about the diameter of your little finger and then flair out the end so you have a hook...( about 6" long and 5" wide) . will make catching chickens or turkeys much easier you just walk up and use the pole hook to grab their leg ! and you gott'em ! easy !

Said it before, I love my grapple. I used a small sledgehammer to straighten my grapple tines. It worked pretty well but I really don't like the idea of beating on my grapple like that. I need to get a long metal tube like you used. I sent an email to the company about that problem and suggested adding a reinforcing backing plate to the grapple tines like they did for the rake tines. I don't think it would take a whole lot, even just a relatively thin plate would probably be a big help. You're pretty handy with a welder so maybe it's something you could add yourself.

Funny, I had one gilt that would lay in the feed trough. Also pigs will naturally use the area as far away as they can from where they eat. They know that their own poop is not good around their feeding area. Also I have friend that uses a rotating sprinkler hooked up on a timer close to his pig wallow the pigs love it.
