Beautiful! This hymn has always meant a lot to me. Recently we sang this in church and for some reason I had a hard time getting through it without crying. The following Saturday I went to wake our 19 year old daughter, who suffered from seizures, and found her absent from the body. We are very sorrowful, but "It is well with my soul." We have a faithful, holy God!

Sweet lady, I am so very, very sorry for the loss of your precious daughter. And only 19 years old, so young. We lost our Jonathan when he was 34. I understand the loss of a child. God be with you my friend.

@@shellyhamilton9229 I hesitated to respond because I didn't want you to feel any need to respond back to me, but I would like to say that the music from your family/Majesty Music has been such an encouragement and balm to us during this time. I praise God for the talents He has given to all of you to minister in this way. Some of our children sang "To Everything There Is a Season" at the funeral service for our daughter. One of her older sisters contacted Majesty Music and she was graciously given full permission to use the song in any way we needed. We were so grateful to have been able to do so! Thank you for your very kind words in response to my comment. God be with you as you continue to serve Him! P.S. I recently saw the interview with you about Triumph In Tragedy. We were given wind chimes in memory of our daughter too.

You know this hymn was written by a man who went through several sorrows in his life too. Horatio Spafford. His four daughters were killed in a shipwreck. The ship's name, the Ville du Havre, hit another vessel and it sank within minutes. He received the heartbreaking telegram from his wife "Saved Alone". He suffered losses of his children also. He also lost his son to scarlet fever. The Great Chicago Fire ruined his finances.

@@shellyhamilton9229 how do u know he went to heaven?! Hell exists too sadly. If my suicide attempt was succesful in 2007 i would be in hell fire burning and hating Satan AND God forever. God does not listen to sinners prayers. Once saved always saved (osas) is a satanic lie.

I've been listening to this recording for a long time. It is so wonderful to watch the arranger play the arrangement herself.

I met your husband as a child at Northside Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC. I was in awe to meet Patch the Pirate, who I had listened to over and over on our set of cassette tapes. I believe he signed my Bible that day. I have been following you and Ron through his journey with dementia. You both are a great inspiration and a great example to all Christians. ❤️
