It reminds you of Garbage Day because that's the same map as Garbage Day. They both used the same asset package, even the same UI, with very minimal changes to almost no changes whatsoever. It's a very common, very scummy practice, called Asset Flipping, where a 'developer' will buy an asset, change almost nothing, and throw it up wholesale as their own creation. It's technically legal, but absolutely underhanded. Fun added fact; that very pack has been flipped over 5 times now on Steam alone. And since everyone is asking, I'll clarify: 1.) *No, it's not made by the same person.* They both came from the same package, but that's not the same as this or Garbage Day - or any other asset flip that uses these models - being published by the same individual. A lot of digging went into it, back when these heaps were on Greenlight, and the so-called 'developers' have no actual relations with one another. It's like with the UnitZ nonsense; it's all the same thing, but released by multiple people with varying levels in comical lack of self-awareness. 2.) *Yes, it basically* *_is_* *Garbage Day, but not really.* Give credit to whoever put Garbage Day together, they at least added some small details of their own. The one who threw this onto Steam couldn't even muster that. But it's all the same baseplate: they used the same package, with the same models, and the same setpieces. It is _very important_ here to understand *this is not technically Garbage Day.* Don't go calling me an idiot because I come from a position of far more research into the matter than you'll ever bother to. 3.) Because I know there's going to be that _one_ guy who says it: *No, I am not saying that using assets is inherently bad.* Asset packages are there to create foundations in which to build your own games and produce a higher-quality product than you might have done from scratch. Using them however you wish is completely legal, as after buying the asset package, you then have the license to use it commercially. *However,* just throwing the assets together with no real differences to the base product, that isn't just lazy; that's borderline plagiarism, reselling a product you never really made. You can see why people like me are rather zealous about this.

Yeah what essentially happened was What the Heck Dude was an open world simulation like Garbage Day (It was more or less a re-release of the same game, since they are both made by the same developer) where you goal was to make as much money as possible. However the developer (for no reason) decided to change everything about the game and made it into an impossible to control, poorly made "Drunken fight" simulator, which received incredibly poor reviews. At the time of writing this comment, 17% of the reviews for the game are negative. However it looks like he's trying to reboot the game back to when it was actually somewhat fun to play by re-releasing the older version as a new game. This developer is notorious for abandoning games randomly and re releasing his games as brand new in an attempt to make money, and abandoning projects and leaving the entire playerbase hanging with a half made game that will never be finished, like what he did with Garbage Day. I hope that this time he will actually stick with the project and finish developing it, because it does have a lot of potential for being really fun, if he sticks with it.
