Man I love watching Levon's games. Always fun and dynamic just like himself in real life. Completely agree with agad. He is one of my favorite players. Also props to Hans. He is playing a lot better now that the lawsuit has been settled. All that pressure was affecting his play.

Volk won that first fight. Islam got that very lucky with judges. Thing i like this fight better however 11 days noticed concerns me. But bisping won the title on 11 days as well. I'm ready for volk to be 2 division champ

I on the other hand think there’s no chance Volk beats Islam in the cage. Volk couldn’t beat Islam at his best, and now with limited preparation and the sudden challenge of the weight cut, his chances will only drop lower. Hoping to see a great fight tho!

Great Game by Hans I really liked the way he went about going after that passed pawn that was key to him eventually winning Levon played a nice game unfortunately his tactics and sacrifices fell short thanks for the game Agadmator

Kramnik and Levon, Hans gets taken to the woodshed on occasion according to Hikaru, but beats top players as well.

He beat Magnus, he beat Aronian. Respect!!!

If you can explain his foolproof method of cheating with the post-cheating-scandal additions to security and a camera on him at all times, then there _might_ be some level of uncertainty

Great game from Hans and Levon , I followed mma since 2004 but I really dont care about it at all compared to Chess as the UFC in particular does not operate a legitimate sport, I still watch it but its not in the same league as a real sport its still controlled by gambling and short term hype strategies , favourites get rematches and title shots based on what they say rather than what they do. What I will say is this, if you want to enjoy mixed martial arts turn the TV off after the contest and before the judges decision.

BTW .. the Mini Mike was a great beach buggy in Australia in the 1970s

Antonio you need to check your mic; there is a high pitched tone whenever you speak in the background. It might be some interference, idk. Sounds a bit like a very quiet faxing machine in the background. Probably one of those frequencies you lose when you get older. I verified with two devices.

This is the first I have heard of Charles pulling out of the UFC fight. Crazy. Was looking forward to Charles vs Islam 2, but will gladly watch Volk vs Islam 2. I like all the fighters, hate seeing any of them lose.

Most surprising thing is a player with such high caliber like aronian did not play World Championship match. It is very strange.

I think the VolkvIslam story is becoming even more exciting with this being a short notice fight. If Volk loses a close decision again then he can easily be considered a bit unlucky when it comes to the overall picture of him attempting to switch classes as a champion, seeing as he took this fight on VERY short notice. But, on the other hand, if he wins, and especially if he does so without reasonable debate, then we TOTALLY change the perception of him moving weight classes. In this scenario, the recent loss to Islam looks EVEN MORE like a bad decision by the judges.

He didn’t take the fight short notice. Championship fights always have a back up fighter, jic someone pulls out. In this case it was volk. That means he was prepared to weigh in this whole time. It’s not like he got called the other day and offered the fight, he was already going to be there and at weight.

Perhaps the rarest of times that v see an advanced variation in sicilian . Props to Hans though Aronian tried to surprise Hans . Levon played a few suboptimal moves for his calibre but these small margins matter in these GM matches
