I am worried about Ame, she seems to be quite down recently, with fewer posts and less enthusiasm. Even in her appearances in the background of your videos she seems far more insular and negative. Previously she has been bouncing along in the background. It is almost like a personality swap, an often underrated indication of a dangerous depression as those suffering will often mask symptoms to those close to them. Giving the underlying changes that you cannot just put a finger on. I have been aware before of her being in dark places as both of my sisters suffer with every level of depression up to the very severe suicidal. They have struggled with it for over 40 years. You notice the signs just in the language and demeanour subtle as they are for even deep depression. It is a dulling of the vitality and life force a numbing to stimuli and it can crash to the extreme very quickly. Please keep her close so you can watch over her.

Rob and Charlotte, I so enjoy your weekly (for the most part) videos, chronicling your full time van life. You, and your Daughter’s Channel are what I most look forward to viewing each week, and both played a major part in my decision to transition to full time van life as well, here in the New England portion of the U.S. Many blessings go out for your whole family, I strangely feel as if I am a part of your extended family as well, because your channels have shaped much of my daily van life routine. Regarding your allen key problem, yes there is a SAE version in addition to Metric. Both are slightly different sizes. You might want to inspect the screws to be sure they arn't "star" screws or even Phillips (more variations). Hope this helps.

You beat me to it, yes imperial and metric hex keys are indeed slightly different, they maybe "torx" set screws as you mentioned, but at a push hex key's can fit torx head screws and vice versa. 👍

Hint: much easier to use 1/4' hex screwdriver bits than L shaped keys. Screwdriver hand grip allows more torque and perpendicular bit angle to screw alignment is better controlled, less likely to strip screw head.

​@@r33gtsbut if you don't get it in there just right and then the possibility of stripping it out, But Robert just find the right one and I have used 3/16 for a 5 mm and it will work but it's going to Strip when you don't want it to, but it's still best to get the right one and not having to try to get a stripped one out.that if it's not really a problem to wait until you get the right tools and then do it right 👍👍👍....

Put cloth or sticky tape over the head of the allen key bolt and use the closest size allen key wrench. That will fill the size difference.

11:36 - I live near Cambridge, there is a town called Ely - I do not know how many, but many vans hit a train bridge many times, even though there are signs clearly stating the bridge does not allow tall vans or trucks getting through, this is why not long time ago there was a bypass made to get around the bridge... Still from time to time vans are smashing the bridge and causing disruption to other cars and eventually it may cause trouble to trains as well...

Hi you 100% need a torx key set to take the fan off. You need separate keys not one of the multi tool type as the key needs to get in at 90degrees just below the fan block. Make sure you locate the “flat” when putting it back on the spindle. I have sone both of mine twice.

Hi both, yes your Allen bolts being American could well be what was the old imperial sizes, you get from the States a mixture of stuff with metric and the old imperial size keys, for which you can still purchase a set of. Thank you.

American fittings will be imperial not metric. For a lot of sizes you can find one that works but for some you will need imperial

When I drove the plaster truck, I had a sticker stuck to the dash with "4.3m" written on it between two vertical arrows up and down. This was the max height of the truck empty and it meant you didn't have to remember the height of the truck coming up to low bridges and it came in very handy. Also the max width was written too but I doubt that'd be a factor for vans or maybe I'm wrong?

11:04 yes you have metric and you have standard Allen wrenches they are just a hair apart in size. If your trying to use metric get some standard ones and you can repair the max air fan

Your fan screws might be Torx screws Rob..they look similar but Alan keys wont fit.

Americans use imperial Allen keys as opposed to metric so you need imperial sizes

Try a 2.5 mm allen (hex key) wrench for the Max Air fan.

Yes, these are two different dimensions. There is the metric UK and EU and the American imperial, they are slightly different.
