It's an event GRiZ puts on every year in his hometown of Detroit. Usually 2-3 days of music and then like 10 days of events benefiting the community leading up to his concerts

This is up there with (gotta push on) another golden song

I absolutely love the message in this song! For some reason, when people are depressed or something is getting them down, everyone says stuff like "you're fine" or "don't be sad" or "You have it good. So many people don't even have a roof over their head. You should be thankful for what you do have. Stop being selfish." But there's only so much one person can handle and it's different for everyone. You can't put pain and suffering on a gauge. It's so different for every person that it's just not comparable. I love how this song acknowledges and validates the bad things that everyone might be going through and gives hope that, for lack of a better phrase, it gets better. This topic is just really personal, I've had a lot of friends who didn't believe that they deserved to be unhappy and beat themselves up over it. So, thank you.
