I made my first Game Boy mod with this video and your other one (where you work on two clear SPs at once) and it turned out fantastic! I used the crystal clear FunnyPlaying shell with no color to let the circuitry shine through, chrome silver ExtremeRate buttons, and a white bordered IPS screen, to really make it look space age. I made a process video and everything and it did well on instagram. I even did a clear game cartridge swap for Metroid Fusion and it looks killer. Thanks Tito!!!

@@MachoNachoProductions My honest thoughts on them? Well, they're good for sure, they feel fine. I think my only issue with them is that the D-pad piece doesn't have the small concave center the OEM and aftermarket ones have, so traveling back and forth between the D-pad feels a little strange to me. But it does work, and does feel fine. The other issue, is I wonder why they only made face buttons, and not L and R versions of them to match. Though they might still be working on them. So all in all, they're good, but I'm not sure if they're $30 good.

Awesome video. Best explanation i've found of the more than 15 videos i've seen on that kind of mod. Just finished mine and everything went smooth af. Just a few tips not really included in the video if I can add because even if they are stupid things i still managed to have to open the back cover and remove the motherboard two times... First: be sure to put in the small metal squared piece with the female screw on the inside of the back case or it won't be possible to screw the battery cover. Second: be sure you align the on/off button of the shell with the right position on the motherboard. Third: even if the speaker is just a matter of dropping it in the right place, be sure you don't put it upside down as I did... ; ( Also, buy a good tri-screwdriver because the one that came with the shell + screen I bought from aliexpress was quite shit.
