Quite common to spin a #4 main bearing on a 531 engine. It is the one that the oil pump goes up through. The saddle is weaker on #4, and allows for accelerated bearing wear. I have had to replace at least 2 short blocks on 7520 tractors, and at least 1 on a 5010 industrial scraper engine. The big block 531 and 619 engines didn’t work very well to line bore. Most of the time they were too far gone before they were shut down. Sorry for your trouble! I overhauled a 619 irrigation pump engine last winter, and we put it in a 6030 down in Florida. The customer still uses it on the field down there.

You need to just go ahead and pull the engine. All that metal is going to be all throughout the entire engine block. Think of all the oil passages that feeds everything internally. Don't do a cheap job on this. That 5020 IS totally worth an engine overhaul. I know many would disagree but, go to your local salvage yard, many can get you NOS rebuild/overhaul kits for that engine. Like I said, do this job right, take your time. Cheers :)

I have been to the hospital 3 times for removal of kidney stones. I am 75 and I now drink lots of fluid hoping for no return because with age you will learn pain is much more intense. Ya'll kinna take it when older. Good that you passed it. The urethra narrows down to a tiny size into the bladder. The reason is to protect the kidneys from bacteria. If it were the same size all way down we probably wouldn't even be here. Pain is pain.

Excellent video Brandon :) also sorry see this motor need rebuilt totally also hope crank and crankshaft okay plus be interesting how pistons plus bells even rings too are too even cylinder walls are ! Also gears for timing are too and why say that remember the 1968 624 A tractor 60 hp Desiel motor ran super but on low idle jumping on oil pressure but high idle did not! Also on oil pressure gear had some teeth gone and missing so had do overall rebuilt to whole engine totally that back 1990 plus new gears installed too for timing too! Hopefully tractor be action soon and live on to! Happy July 4 2022 for USA 🇺🇸 Impendence Day to everyone to and be safe to from me in Ontario Canada 🇨🇦!

I have a friend who just sold several John Deere power units for irrigation well power these engines are either 4 or 6 cylinder engines with a heck of alot of hours on them im sure he sold them for roughly $10,500.00 apiece.... New engines will cost him roughly $25000.00 apiece. They have been gradually changing their units out for aircooled Deutsch engines. It takes roughly 130 horse power engine to drive a well in our area...most wells are 16 inch with 14 inch discharge and some are 14 inch with 12 inch discharge depth of most wells are 100 to 120 feet in depth.
