Isuzu MU-X Rock Sliders - Fitting Southern Cross Fabworks Rock Sliders

Спорт

Hey Guys !!!
In this video i show you how to fit Southern Cross Fabworks Rock sliders to your Isuzu MU-X. I also give you a closeup look over the rock sliders that will protect your vehicle through anything you can throw at them!
Firstly i show you how to remove the standard Isuzu MU-X side steps. It is then necessary to remove the standard plastic under tray and also remove the front cross member bolts.
We can now start fitting the rock sliders to the vehicle. After fitting i jack the sliders up to sit flush with the chassis and sill and then tighten all the bolts. Its that easy!!!
Thanks alot for watching guys! If you enjoyed this video and would like to see more videos like this. Please like and Subscribe to my channel : )

    Nice one, I wish I had seen the video before I did mine. I got Opposite Lock sliders and they use a U bolt to hold them in place. They are well made but hard to fit around the chassis on the fuel tank side. Brake lines are in a bitch of a spot for U bolts at the back.

    Hey Nick, what is the width of the side steps from the furthermost part of the door to the end of the side steps? Need to see if there is enough room for my foot. Btw fantastic videos, great work mate.

    Hey Nick, As you went with flat rock sliders rather than 20 degree angle one, any reason you didn't consider the side steps with rails that attach to the bull bar for better side protection? as I'm looking to get the rock slider, good to get your opinion

    Highly recommended under body protection to your vehicle if you don’t have it yet. I’m surprised Isuzu don’t sell their vehicles with a factory ones.

    @@LowRangeNick Yeah I'm in two minds, it's is extra weight, but only about 33kg for a Kaymar, once you remove the 34kg weight of the tow bar, even the cost is only about $1000 more than a good tow bar. But then if you don't need it any weight and cost is a waste I guess. Glad I found your channel as you seem to have set up your MU-X very similar to how I want to :-) Can I ask how much lift did you get out of your suspension upgrade and what size tires are you running? I like the look of it, and seems to go really well off road :-)

    Hi Chris have a 2019 Mux I have a question. I was at glasshouse Mountain and I had found out the hard way going down a ledge and my side step has been bent upwards. Would my side step protect my vehicle or around the drivers side doorwas the damaged step. What should I look out for to check for damage

  • @LowRangeNick

    @LowRangeNick

    2 жыл бұрын

    Hi Scott, the factory side steps are made of thin aluminum and bend easily. They can damage the sill sometimes when they get bent. You could remove the side step and check for damage or bend the step back into place while it is still on the vehicle. Your best bet would be to get some good rock sliders if you are going to be doing more off-roading. :)

    True Nick, It's funny because no one really calls them rock sliders as I was told insurance companies don't like them for some reason. I'll keep searching for steel tubing that will look after both the sills and a little of the door. By the way your Mux looks dope yo 👌 🔥 🙌
