The radiator is in the back and a/c condenser is in the front. Thanks for sharing.

The temps are always so high on Trooper’s ATF that it should go on the return line as recommended by Hayden and everyone else.

I wonder what temperature difference if any would be. Robb O does this and has the return line just from Hayden opposite of you guys 🤔

Putting it before the radiator is meant to assure operating temperature is maintained. Putting it after the radiator would have the possibility to cool it too much, which can be just as bad as overheating.

Why might someone add the inline hayden cooler? Is this like a bypass for the Thermostat

This is for the atf in the transmission only. On really really hot days, offroading, towing, etc the trans will benefit from the additional cooling by passing through the cooler. The thermostat is part of the cooling system for the engine which is a separate system from the transmission cooler, which is for the atf.

Did you get rid of the exterior/front A/C fan that sits on the left pushing air while main fan pulls? And why not put a push fan on it? No room? Just curious cause I been thinking put 1 on with a fan. What temp does your Tranny run at now?

This trooper did not have it. If he wants one in the future he can add it but so far it is not needed. Not sure of temp since we haven't added a temp guage yet.

My 1999 Rodeo needs a new transmission line and the shop told me 900.00 so I was naturally not going for it and the next day they suddenly said 500 so I left the shop not knowing they don’t make the line anymore and I would have to decide between rubber hosing, a hydraulic shop (which seems to be a major nuisance) or fuel line. Any advice?

The lines are the same for the 2nd gen v6 rodeos, 98-02. Only difference is the feed line and return line.

@@REVNREDMEDIA thank you so much for taking the time to reply! So, if I order that line my mechanic will have very little problem modifying it to fit?

I wanted to add a trans cooler but was told they can fail easier than a radiator and cause more harm than good.
