The time between semi-finals and finals was very short. Issei probably was exhausted since he battled in the last semi final, he even threw up in the end. I don't care if this guy doesn't win a single one on one competition in 2016, for me he is already the b-boy of the year, this guy is a MONSTER

yeah, the scheduling was very bad. throughout the entire livestream the mc was stressing and rushing everyone to hurry up because they need to be out of the venue by 8. they gave them as long as a break as they could. props to issei for still battling

So basically issei did 6 rounds... brutal.

people forget issei travels the world on a weekly basis, not like 4 hour car rides, more like 10+ hours plane rides. travelling takes a toll on the body (and mind) but travelling WHILE competing in the top breaking events in the world must be twice as harsh. This is a kid from japan, he doesn't live in the states, comments like "he needs to save enery" are ridiculous, think about all the variables you don't see on and off the battle floor. issei IS a true soldier but man he needs to take a break.

JulienGetsLoose1 Yeah right but its also right to save energy. We do not know what he does once he arrives how he trains condition and take rest before the day of the match comes. Even you you need to save energy. Value your time to have rest. Do not forget to eat right. In Issei's case you said you don't see variables what is on and off the battle floor. Still you cannot say people saying he needs to save energy is ridiculous. As a break dancer he needs to take a break to prevent this from happening next time. What if he was sick or he ate and full his stomach then after that no rest for an hour then head straight to the battle. We do not really know what happened to him. Even if he travels thousands of miles it is his responsibility to arrive days or weeks earlier to rest condition and train before the day of the match comes.

Maybe if they didn't spend money on models they can have the venue for longer so the bboys can rest.

I AGREE I actually find it pretty un-HipHop that Monster energy brings models to the events. It's not really a part of the culture of dance battles. It's objectifying women. straight up. what do the B-girls think?

NAH MAN! I'm sure Heaps of us started breaking just for the women. straight up. Have you even had a sloppy training session and then BAM! a few girls walk in and you got this energy from no where. Also you gotta stop telling people how to spend there money. A few models day rate don't cover the 1 hour penalty fee going overtime.

@flukemedia there is a difference between dancing for people, and being fuelled by attraction or natural energy, and then there being paid models dressed in bathing suits sporting the company logo. this is a corporate move and its based in the notion that women are sexual objects. i don't think a single B-girl would back these monster models. not that i'm dissing them. im dissing the system.

El Nino always looks so relaxed when he does powermoves and dances. Almost every battles I never seen him looking so tired.

Feels bad for Issei, such a great bboy, but in past tournaments got robbed and this tournament was tired at end. But definitely the bboy of the year

Issei has a heart of steel bro. Ever since he beat my boy bboy blond in Korea solo he's been in my top 3 favourite. He's still so young and has so much more to learn. Issei and Shigekix gonna take over Japan. Honestly after this year, Taisuke will probably move aside for these 2 to come through.

mandragonist but that's how his body is conditioned, if he were to suddenly stop, there would be effects to it too, but going to that many local battles in one week does put its toll on you.

Miracle Rogue he was very tired when battling Thesis too (I was actually there for that). He was the crowd favorite but it was incredibly obvious that he was running out of energy.

I was there live and it's a shame that from top 32 to the finale was rushed so much.. Issei only had about 5 to 10 minutes to rest between the final and the semis. Much respect to him for throwing it down so hard.

Damn, didn't Issei get the least cooldown time at Silverback too between his battle against El Nino and Thesis? This time was pretty criminal though, he only got like 3-5 min. Still think he took it here though, with the second and third rounds.
