The way 14:17 is describing how it would be with a 2 state solution is exactly how it is for India. India is also surrounded by countries that are not its allies going from Pakistan, Bangladesh to China. India and Pakistan had the two-state solution and it's caused nothing but so many wars and the wars have resolved nothing. Pakistan has always tried to take territories of India which has made the situation much worse than it was at the time of independence(1947) and now unsolvable or resolvable. Of course, the British empire was at the root of that conflict as well. India and Israel share this problem.

The condition regarding what happens if the Palestinians renege is key. If they genuinely want peace, then the 2 state solution is reasonable and just. But if they use it as a stepping stone to wipe out or attempt to wipe out Israel, then a future Palestine cannot be justified.

When Palestinians were given the opportunity to vote in Gaza, they voted Hamas and it is still in power until now (I am not sure if elections have ever been conducted after they gained power which is a typical tactic of Islamic groups, using democracy to reach power and then held it forever) and Hamas doesn’t want peace, they want the eradication of Israel and the Jewish people. Their leader has even said recently that they are going to transform this war into a religious war that will go outside the borders of Israel (maybe he was referring to the dream of the Islamic khilafah ) I think the man who was talking about trust meant that as well. It is difficult to trust Palestinians on who they are going to choose as leadership.

Very true. But staying strong takes a toll. As we talk, geo politics have shifted and Israel has covert relations with some ME countries that were unthinkable before. I think the hatred perpetrated in Palestinian school books toward Israel goes to show that many Palestinians don't plant seeds for peace. They fail to understand that 80% of their villages bear Hebrew names or the Biblical presence of Jews in the land of Israel. No educated Christian can argue with that connection especially as Christ himself was an Israelite Jew.

Interesting. Generally speaking I don't like to comment on things I don't understand well but i'll make an exception here. First of all, I would've loved to hear the Mohammed guy speak more about the situation. Secondly, the problem seems to be Jerusalem more than anything else. I don't get the significance of that place for jewish people and I would've loved to hear them explain more why they want that place more than other places. Lastly, the gay man votes for the far right and it seems to be the case for the majority of the Israeli citizens. I wanted to hear more about the points of view of other political parties such as the left or the liberal parties. Good video though, This demystifies the problem and puts things into a different perspective. Now I'll go hear what the Palestinians have to say about this.
