Not a SINGLE Israeli/Jewish person in this video said they would celebrate the death of a Palestinian. However, many Palestinians justified the Oct 7th attack with many many excuses, even though innocent civilians were murdered and most of them deemed it a "death worthy for the cause" or something that was "inevitable". And, of course, random camera interviews aside, there are hundreds of videos showing how Gazans literally celebrated around the dead bodies of Israelis on Oct 7th, or parading hostages around. That difference is everything you need to know about this conflict, period.

To be honest they were right, it is an absolutely terribly worded question. It assumes that the specific random person who is asked is celebrating, which is an accusation in itself and leads to the person responding to naturally become defensive. The answers therefore will be more or less predictable. A better question would've been: "Why do you think some Israelis celebrate when Palestinians are killed?" - this would've opened the way for them to really share what they think about it imo.

I love the second person in the video -- that really cute guy at the spice shop, and he seems genuinely sweet, but he is misinformed on one major point -- Islam does not sanctify death; Muslims' purpose in life is not to die or be happy about death (even of their enemies). That is not true. I've been reading the Quran (amongst other holy books) for the past 35 years, and the Quran says that the purpose of any believer (Jew, Christian, Muslim) is to live a life with gratitude to the one God/Yahwe/Allah and to serve Him, which means treating His creation -- other people and nature -- justly, respectfully, kindly; standing up for Truth; and opposing injustice.

Thousands of Palestinians were filmed celebrating, on public record, on multiple news channels. I have also seen news, before October 7th, of Palestinians openly celebrating and distributing sweets when innocent Jews (who have nothing to do with the armed operations) are murdered by terrorists in Israel.

The name Palestinian might be recent, but it refers to people who have been living on that land for generations. The settlers are trying to deny that Palestinians have a real claim to the land in order to excuse the ethnic cleansing that has been committed. These people are happy to settle on land that Palestinians were forced off of (settlements in occupied areas are illegal under international law)- their words about desiring peace are not reflected in their actions.

This is going to sound like an excuse but what people don't understand is Israeli soldiers are western soldiers... they don't want to go to war, they are mostly secular, they do not believe in the afterlife, they want to shower and see their family, extremely afraid to die, trying to repress that, like any soldier from a civilized country... when you see soldiers dancing and singing in an army base it's something they basically force themselves to do in order to not get depressed and mentally collapse. It's a very normal thing for soldiers to arbitrarily celebrate to keep morale up... It's NOTHING like when Palestinians hand out candy and shout Allah hu Akbar with glee and dance in the street after a "Martyr operation" where innocent israeli civilians are targeted. We don't celebrate death, and I don't know the video you are referring to. When was it taken? Btw some Palestinians think we celebrate the Nakba. We don't do that either. We celebrate our independence day. We will celebrate our soldiers coming home safe. But we don't celebrate them having to kill civilians. If I had to guess, those people might have had a drink to wish a safe return to our soldiers. They might have been happy that terrorists were going to get theirs after what they did on Oct-7. But not that civilians were going to die. No one wants that. And as a society, we don't have or endorse that behavior. Having said all that, about 8 years ago, there was a wedding where a tiny minority was celebrating, and they showed a video of a dead Palestinian baby. But it was a minority. it was disrespectful, distasteful, and was frowned upon by anyone I know or spoke with regarding this event. It was quite shocking to see.

The Israeli government offered the family to inscribe his name on the wall of victims of terrorism (implying those who killed him were terrorists, which they totally were) but they refused. At the same time social medias are full of celebrating israelis. I'm sure there are some good among them that don't, but from my experience and what i have seen a majority celebrate it like it is a sports game. This obviously goes both ways, not saying one side is better but you can't deny it. The term Sderot cinema exists for a reason, even before oct 7.

I just explained to my son, IDF stands for Israel 'Defence' Force. It's right to defend when being attacked. Not for attacking. Salute to IDF !

As I see it there is a solution for this crisis. The international community needs to come togheter and put an UN peace keeping force that separates the two and prevents fighting happening from both sides. This is the short-term solution. The Long-term solution is a one state where all rights are guaranteed under Israeli law and in accordance with international law or a 1967 boarder with two states that is separated by an international peace keeping force but I don't think Israelis will agree to this so a one state solution is the only solution as I see it. The Palestinians should have the right of return to the land that was stolen from them and given the same rights as any Israelis. This is common sense. Those people have ancestry that goes back thousand hundred of years and should have the same rights has any European or an American Jew who wants to settle there. May the Lord of peace guide both sides. 🙏🙏🙏🙏

@@annelid4728 The vast majority of west bank housing in settlements are built on land that has never been privately owned period. A small fraction is, which is greatly contested by many Israelis and in the courts. Just before the war of 1948, which was started by the Arabs, the land was very sparsely populated, even more so when the Brits captured the land and Arabs from Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and other countries migrated to work for the British.
