Just look whats happening in the us with republicans and democrats. If it would be for the republicans the democrats are all monsters and the democrats think the opposite way. If you would have this setting a few hundreds years back you would probably get a civil war with the winner writing the history books, and making themselves look pretty. 4:50 - Israel did not withdraw from Sinai due to pressure of the Oil Embargo. It was the Egyptian President Anwar Al-Sadat who decided to announce a peace initiative and visited Israel. The following negotiations under the hospices of US President Jimmy Carter led to a peace agreement between Egypt and Israel. As a result Israel withdrew from Sinai and returned it to Egypt which paved the way to normalization and diplomatic ties between the two countries. This was the first peace agreement in the Israeli-Arab conflict and has since been in effect until this day. The peace makers, Mr. Anwar Al-Sadat and the Israeli P.M. Menachem Begin received in 1978 the Nobel Peace Prize.

Some details that are not correct: - The Six Days War (1967), Israel did not just declare war. The Egyptians blocked the Straits of Tiran, one of Israel's main trading routes, which is an act of war. Then, Israel responded and the war started. - Israel did not give Sinai back to Egypt due to international pressure. It was a part of the Israel-Egypt peace treaty which lasted for over 40 years now. It was a fair deal that brought peace from the south-western border. - Israel has decided, in 2005, to withdraw from the Gaza Strip. The Palestinians there chose Hamas, which is today a recognized terrorist organization by the US, EU and UN. Hamas' intentions are different from the PLA's (Fatah), and that is a huge barrier for peace. - "Israel imposes a blockage in the region (Gaza) while Hamas regularly fires rockets", that's the other way around. Hamas used their waterways and border crossing with Egypt to smuggle rockets and weapons, which were then targeted toward Israeli towns. Then Israel started blockading the border. In this blockade, any supply is welcome as long as it goes through Israeli ports first and being scanned and searched for illegal weapons. Then transported into Gaza via an Israeli border crossing. Israel is still the largest supplier of medicine, water, electricity and food to the Gaza strip.

Plus Israel won because she attacked our military airports so we got no air cover! You cannot say you win us by toe to toe, you win us by cheating! And surprise attack! I cannot say we lost but we lost honorably not winning with cheating! In 1973 we have deceived america and Europe and said "we won't attack Israel" while building our military in secret! And the European fools have been deceived so the Americans, they came to help Israel after we defeated it in 1973, we restored half of Sinai and the other half after the 1979 peace treaty which called camp David treaty, which is located in america unfortunately! That's the truth, the others are lies, if you don't believe then watch a video about moche dayan and he admitted that Israel failed in that war and Egypt won with the help of god then the Arabian countries! While we defeated Israel, america and UK. Listen to the real truth I swear!

Arabs don't want Isreal take the Palestine and Isreal want to make its own country on that area so... A war begun And who wrong it is clear Who don't have (British) gave for who don't deserve (Isreal)

Pelaaja KaksiYxi Israel won’t just give Sinai for the sake of peace. It was the 1973 war that Israel witness a major defeat and unexpected advance of the Egyptian troops into Sinai causing Israel to panic and ask for reinforcements from the USA and I quote “We can’t stop the Egyptians”. In conclusion, Israel won’t “give Sinai back to Egypt, as an exchange for peace”. It was the defeat at first then the negotiations. The zionist state knew they won’t be able to survive in the region surrounded with many enemies. Making peace with Egypt was a huge victory for Israel, but definitely didn’t give in just for peace!

Tito -> That's the usual Arab nonsense that they like to use for the 1973 war. The Israelis crossed the Suez canal and surrounded the entire Egyptian southern army. With no protection from the SAM missile batteries the entire southern Egyptian army was exposed to the Israeli air force and completely surrounded. The Egyptian southern army would be wiped out. Sadat asked to stop the war as a result. At the end of the war Israel still had the Sinai. Sadat seeing that he could not get the Sinai back through military means made a historic trip to Israel that eventually led to a peace deal in 1979. Look it up.

Barley any talk about the Jew's or Palastinian's relation to the Land of Canaan; A horrible misstatement that made the Holocaust look like a part of WW2 and not as planned enslavement, torture, and genocide; Wrong dates; No mention of other peace efforts such as the Peel Commission, the London plan, Olmert's proposal (97% of what the Palestinians claim would be given, and they refused), and many more efforts; A sided claim that Israel "bomb houses" just because, not to mention the war between the PLO and Hama's, resulting in the terror organization winning, which led to Israel constantly being bombed by Hamas, which also led to the blockade by Israel AND EGYPT (no mention of Egypt) - no mention of Hamas hiding in civilian houses, kindergartens, hospitals and more, and firing rockets from there; And so much more, that I couldn't cover here, neither in a stupid attempt to cover one of the most complex situations in the world, in several minutes.

There's a lot missing, but considering how much history he had to fit into a 10 minute timeframe, I think he did a fantastic job-maaaaybe a bit too biased in favor of Palestine. The biggest issues I see, in no particular order, are 1) The PLO is only mentioned in 1988; while its previous history and terrorist activities (which had a HUGE impact on the conflict's development) are not. 2) They also do not explicitly state that Hamas explicitly calls for the genocide of Jews-which would have only taken up an additional 3 seconds. 3) They do not state that on several occasions, Jewish militants killed or expelled Arabs from their homes, that this was the main reason so many Arabs fled in 1948, and those responsible were by and large not punished by the Israeli government afterward I think all of the above three things could be added without extending the video length by over a minute. These next three would also be really nice but would probably require the video to be more like ~12-13 minutes long. 4) They don't discuss how the ideology of Pan-Arabism, and especially Nasserism, shaped the conflict and Israel's diplomatic relations. 5) Debates over 'The Right of Return', especially with regards to the conception of Israel as a 'Jewish State' are never mentioned 6) The current situation of Palestinians living in The West Bank isn't explored in any depth, nor is the Palestinian refugee crisis & worldwide diaspora. 7) Changes in Israeli demographics and politics in the 21st century, in particular, the rapid growth of the Haredi population and increased popularity of right-wing and far-right politics in Israel

The US support for Israel was actually quite limited until the 1970s, when the Soviets started pouring money and weapons to their Arab allies in Middle East, leading the Americans to provide more weapons to Israel. Great maps 👍 love the detail, I'll add from wiki 3:50 In April 1967, Syria shot at an Israeli tractor ploughing in the demilitarized zone -which Syria considered an ongoing practice of Israeli encroachment on contested land. The event occasioned an escalation into a prewar aerial clash. In May 1967, following misinformation about Israeli intentions provided by the Soviet Union, Egypt expelled UN peacekeepers who had been stationed in the Sinai Peninsula since the Suez conflict,[1] and announced a blockade of Israel's access to the Red Sea (international waters) via the Straits of Tiran, which Israel considered an act of war. Tension escalated, with both sides' armies mobilising. Less than a month later, Israel launched a surprise strike which began the Six-Day War.

But to get to the KEY CAUSE: “If a single act of folly was more responsible for this explosion than any other, it was the arbitrary and dangerous announced decision (BY EGYPT) that the Straits of Tiran would be closed. The right of innocent, maritime passage must be preserved for all nations.” Israel said if Egypt closes the straits, it would be an act of war, and Egypt did that. The poster should check their history. So many misconemptions: 1. In 1967 Israel declared war only on Egypt and Syria after they broke the truce laws if entering millitary forces to the Golan heights and Sinai Peninsula which seemed as a preaperation to attack. Jordan declared war on Israel and not vice versa. 2. Israel had no international pressure to withdraw from Sinai, Israel did it as part of a peace treaty with Egypt in order to achieve first peace and recognition by an arab country. 3. The oslo records didn't failed, they've stopped because of the assassination of the israeli prime minister and with the rise of the right wing. 4. Numerous suicide bombing? over 1300 israelis died in intifada by massive suicide bombing and terror attack, allmost everyday a bus, resturants, mall or hotel being blown up.

Good presentation, although lacking some depth. Maybe under pressure of making it short. Extending by 10-15% would allow making it more reliable and balanced, as (for example) ignoring peace treaties between Israel and Egypt & Jordan leaves a big hole in the story, making a strong impression that the author took side in the conflict. I would also add at least one sentence about the aspirations of each side in respect to the resolution of the conflict, to demonstrate the complexity. But this is a developing issue, which probably deserves another, third chapter…

Peace treaties between 3rd party countries and israel will not justify any of the illegal acts that israel has done to Palestine. The UN proposal in 1947 was unjust by giving most of the land to only the 10% of the Jewish population (before the Nakba and Palestinians got kicked out or killed), the same reason why the British Proposal was unjust. israel has received huge amounts of weapons from the West which is why surrounding Arab countries were pressured into peace agreements but in reality they still have no love for israel since their existence is illegal but currently forced.

  • @kariminyt

    @kariminyt

He didn't said its given back due to international pressure over rising oil prices. he just stated historical order to what happened in the "Public Eyes". he said "Part 1: After a ceasefire, oil-exporting Arab countries decide to punish the US and Israel's allies by increasing the price of oil by 70% and decreasing production by 5%. this causes the first oil crisis of 1973. Part 2: Israel under international pressure ceded Sinai back to Egypt and a part of the Golan to Syria" OK the part where i said "Public Eyes", you need to look at this as politician or economist not as Nationalist or Religionists. First you need to visualize the economic situation of the world post World War II era which started with 1944 Bretton Woods Accord (where USA forced UK to make the dollar the new world currency instead of Pound sterling as a condition to help UK against the Germans) now the war ended and USA is even over 50% of the world GDP in the 1950s but the hunger for more money to help USA spread "there way of democracy" against the USSR in Korea Vietnam Cuba and so on as u know all about cold war or even for better quality of life for its own USA citizens the hunger for more money is always endless. As American economist Barry Eichengreen summarized: "It costs only a few cents for the Bureau of Engraving and Printing to produce a $100 bill, but other countries had to pony up $100 of actual goods in order to obtain one", in the 60s the growing of the USA economy even with the on going wars in Korea made other countries feel there is something not right with USA economy. In February 1965 the France President Charles de Gaulle announced his intention to exchange its US dollar reserves for gold at the official exchange rate. He sent the French Navy across the Atlantic to pick up the French reserve of gold and was followed by several countries. As it resulted in considerably reducing US gold stock and US economic influence (which indicates that USA was printing more dollar than the deposited gold in there bank), it led US President Richard Nixon to unilaterally pulled out of the Bretton Woods Accord and end the convertibility of the dollar to gold on 15 August 1971 (the "Nixon Shock"). This was meant to be a temporary measure. but this didn't help the dollar to reclaim its strength as it was. so Richard Nixon started the petrodollar recycling scam to help the dollar by inviting Faisal Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to USA and negotiating for a deal that makes Saudi Arabia exports crud oil with only USA dollar in exchange for protraction from USA to Saudi Arabia. Later all other OPEC countries started to do the same, exporting the crud oil with only the USA dollar. you see Richard Nixon used basic market mechanisms supply and demand. by connecting the dollar to the oil and making the oil less in the market which in return will make demand for dollar is more to buy the rare oil. after this part of connecting the dollar with oil is done, the 2nd part of the plan had to start "the demand" by making wars that involve oil in it. Daniel Yergin (American author, energy expert, and economic historian) has said that the embargo "remade the international economy". what we call today the " The New International Economic Order " , 1973 the 4th fourth Arab-Israeli war the first oil crisis, 1980 Iran-Iraq War the 2nd oil crisis, 1991 Gulf War, 2003 invasion of Iraq, 2011 Libyan Civil War, i would assume next war either would be Iran or Venezuela since both of them are crud oil exporters and both of them are against USA. Oil-exporting Arab countries leaders did what Richard Nixon asked cause its win win for both sides. The dictators Arab leaders will be seen as good leaders in there citizens eyes as they helped other Arab countries in there wars. and the USA will reaping the benefit of oil shortage in the long run. Peace we earned when we crossed what your people called the strongest defensive line in history The Bar Lev Line, we crossed it in only 2 hours but years of preparation. and if you want to go technical we only lost the war when Israel requested the aid of USA army and they send the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird the fastest air-breathing manned aircraft to take spy photos of the Egyptian army. theaviationist.com/2013/09/01/declassified-sr-71-mix/ I tried to be as neutral and objective as possible, even though I am Egyptian and Muslim, i hope every one sees the bigger picture. Good luck and have a nice day

That's because the history was told not from an Israeli but probably from a Palestinian who needs to leave Israel because it's not their land God gave that land to the Jewish people and nobody else all foreigners who don't want to recognize Israel need to leave

A peace deal that the US pressured Egypt and Israel to adopting. The Camp David Accords of 1978 was mediated by the US by then President Jimmy Cater. What, do you think Israel and Egypt came to this decision on their own? At many times during the negotiations Egypt and Israel executive officials (Egyptian President Anwar Sadat and Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin) did not see eye to eye but Carters persistence helped to convince them that it was in their countries best interests to consolidate a peace treaty.

4:55 It's not colonization, according to oxford languages, colonization is, "the action or process of settling among and establishing control over the indigenous people of an area.", however, Jews are indigenous to the area. Genetically, they are just as native as modern-day Palestinians, culturally they are way more indigenous. Claiming colonization is simply incorrect and demonizes Israel in a way that does not aid in finding a solution.

If Hungarians took the Urals, it would be colonization, if the Germans conquered the Eurasian Steppe, it would be colonization, the sams absolutely counts for the Jewish. Just because their ancestors lived in the territory 2,000 years prior doesn't suddenly mean they have rights to claim that land now.

@@EdgySniper497 Who are you to tell me that connections to those lands have faded for most Jews? Jewish connection to Isreal was always very strong and for most of the time that Jews have existed we have been the dominant population in Isreal and even when we weren't we still inhabited the land(search up the Jewish quarter in the old city.) The arabs may have lived there for 1000 years but Jews have lived there for 4000+ and controlled it for far longer.

Video completely ignores the 1956 war in which France and Great Britain seized the Suez Canal, while Israel seized control of the Sinai peninsula. Israel returned the Sinai with a UN peacekeeping force. It was the Egyptian removal of the UN peacekeeping force that led to the 1967 Six-Day War.
