I personally don't think Putin is committing a genocide although he has transferred Ukrainian children to Russia but he hasn't necessarily shown intent to destroy. With an ambiguous caveat being his strange denial of Ukrainian culture. Likewise in the Israel case, I don't believe we see explicitly intent to destroy, we see many Israeli ministers saying outrageous things but the governments collective policy hasn't stated any explicit intent to destroy. We also have to look closer at what group Israel is targeting (to satisfy the genocide definition) as they aren't targeting the ethnicity: Arab, they aren't targeting the religion: Islam as both groups live discrimination free in Israel as Israeli citizens, they could be said to be targeting the nationality Palestinian (Although one could argue Israeli arabs might also use the term Palestinian, thus it would refer to a specific arab sub-group and since they live free inside Israel, this also would refute the allegation of genocide). Lets move forward with Palestinians being the target group, since Israel isn't also bombing the west bank, this doesn't satisfy the conditions of intent to destroy in whole, therefore we must dissect what in part actually means. The term "destroy in part" in the context of genocide, as defined by the Genocide Convention, refers to the intent to eliminate or eradicate a substantial portion of a particular group. It doesn't necessarily mean the complete annihilation of the entire group but targets a significant enough portion that it affects the group's existence, coherence, or ability to continue as a distinct collective entity.

Owen was actually not up to speed with the history of the Israel-Palestine history. Owen mentioned "apartheid" apparently applied by the Israelies against the Palestinians. In the beginning, the Israelies were very relaxed with the Palestinians coming into Israel to work, shop use the well run Israelie hospitals. Around the year 2,000, there had been over 120 terrorist attacks inside Israele in public places. The worst was the blowing up and killing of a busload full of Israelie school children. Israel built a border wall in self defence ( not for Apartheid,) and required from then on a pass for people coming into Israel.

What kind of a interviewer asks questions and then doesn't allow for a response if it's not the one he's looking for. Cutting someone off who is answering a question you asked just shows you afraid hes going to prove you wrong. Heres a idea , how about in the future when you ask a question you let the person answer.
