I'm sure they are using there PTO or sick days to be miserable for a little while so others around the world will have a chance to either support them with words only or mock them with words and actions too. NOTE: Anybody who wants to support Palestine is free to do so, but make sure your donations actually go to the civilians. They are often times notoriously going to Hamas and other hostile groups who only spew extermination rhetoric. The only insurance you will have of your donations helping "the people" is if you go yourself with your own money and supplies to help them on the ground yourself. That is the surest way to help and ensure you are not helping extremists. Good luck I'll not be doing that, but good luck to you who do. You'll need it.

It was support Palestine when they had the initial shock and awe of achieving the objectives (genocide and hostages) now they want a cease fire because when people start fighting back it hurts them. Kind of reminds me of the other wars and conflicts they fought against Israel. Almost like a pattern can be recognized here. 1. Muslims attack Israel in extermination war. 2. Israel starts fighting back. 3. Muslims realize attack not going so well. 4. Muslims cry and cope after losing because extermination wars turned out harder than anticipated. 5. Go to international stage and cry and cope about how Israel is being mean and not allow extermination wars. 6. For example, the Puritans made their escape from England to the Netherlands, but that wasn't so good either. When they heard about America they were thankful to come. However they made a mistake in founding their city in requiring that anyone in public office must first be a member of the church. This resulted in ambitious politicians entering the church for no other reason, defeating their purpose. Roger Williams, however, had the right idea but was banished by the Puritans. Roger went on to found Rhode Island on these principles. And from there came the American concepts of freedom of religion and separation of church and state. Thank God.

From what I have learned since Israel occupied Gaza from 1967 to 2005, it was required under international law to provide basic supplies to Gaza, which includes, water and electricity. Israel traded Gaza for peace. In 2005, Israel traded Gaza for peace. Once they stopped being occupied they didn't setup or get help from Israel to setup anything to replace their dependence on Israel. The Palestinians chose Hamas and he has used everything to make weapons. Including using pipes sent to Gaza for water, etc...

Thank you Jewish Voice for Peace. I disagree with Oct 7, I disagree with the holocaust and I esp disagree with the current bombing of Gaza. All violence is disgusting especially to innocents. 7000 civilians dead, homes destroyed, 0 hamas dead. You have as much issue with your israeli government as US citizens have with theirs. But Gaza civilians are somehow complicit with their government and should pay for their government's mistake?? Think about that for a sec. Most people on earth want peace, justice, equality and most of all fairness. The voice of peace, justice, equality and fairness is represented by the United Nations and therefore the United Nations' resolutions must be followed. The UN is most of all against the murder of innocents. Therefore the true terrorists are those who are not following the UN's call for a ceasefire. Judges always side with the person who is more reasonable, they never say who is right, only who is less wrong. And they always say "let's start doing the right thing NOW" which invariably means protecting and helping the innocent. We have had 21 days of Oct 7s.

Reminds me of the protestors of the war in Vietnam and the song Neil Young wrote; "Four Dead in Ohio."

They know what is going on because they understand the concepts of it as taught in the classrooms they have been to. Obviously learning about peace and war dynamic theories inside a class room is different than the realities of application. Everyone of them knows that killing innocent people is bad, but on the same note they don't seem to understand the application of costs (more then just money) to get the "bad guys" (and I ain't just talking about pro-Israel...I'm looking at you Hamas, pro-PLO/PA and others...).

Do you know what started this entire mess? Read what the Israelis did to the Palestinian people in the 1950s. The Israelis returned to the Gaza strip after WW2 where they were welcomed by the Palestinian people (who had lived there for thousands of years). The Israelis suddenly proclaimed independence, kicking out the Palestinians from their homes, murdering Palestinian civilians, etc. Would you feel that same way if the native Americans rose up against every white colonizer here and kicked them out of the U.S.? Or do you only practice confirmation bias when it suits your views? No. Think about it.

Have you tried telling that to Hamas, PLO/PA and many other Palestinian organizations and other Muslim fundamentalist groups? Every war in that region against Israel has basically gone like this since the 1940's: 1. Muslims attack Israel in extermination war. 2. Israel starts fighting back. 3. Muslims realize attack not going so well. 4. Muslims cry and cope after losing because extermination wars turned out harder than anticipated. 5. In 2006, Hamas garnered 42%, Palestinian authority 41%. Hardly a mandate. There have been no additional elections since 2006, especially because they fear they would not win again. Is that the crime that Palestinian children are being killed for? Because I'm pretty sure that they didn't vote at all in 2006. Ceasefire, start over with new prime ministers on all sides. Netanyahu has been in power since 1996. If he had the solution, things would be better by now. So it's time for him to go too. Ceasefire, start over with diplomacy, accurate mapping, and a respect for the United Nations. Stop killing everyone, start rebuilding. There's lots of work to do.
