Israel Adesanya Finally Speaks On Loss! Blames NO BREAKFAST? NOODLE ARMS? BAD DREAM?

Спорт

This is my in depth analysis of Israel Adesanya reacting to his loss to Sean Strickland at UFC 293. Overall, not to bad. But at points he did say that he needs to fix things like having breakfast before training and feeling like he was having a bad dream, let me know what you guys think below.

    There is a big reason for the noodle arms and is all because of Strickland's defense. When you make contact on a hit that same force you hit bounces back and helps you bring back your arms but when you miss you have to use your opposite muscles to retrieve back the arm and when you get parried or deflected is even worse as it changes the angle and to get your arms back in position you are activating muscles in angles you normally dont work with the bag or hitting pads which will gas your arms way faster. Fighting guys that are great at parries and deflects feels like swimming against the current

    People just need to come to terms with the fact that Strickland is actually a really good fighter with next level defence. He's 9-2 in his last 11 since moving up to MW and there's a strong argument for him to be 10-1 because many feel he beat Cannonier. His only legit uncontroversial loss is obviously to Alex who let's not forget is 3-1 against Izzy, 2 via KO, and was absolutely gigantic for the weight and hits like a truck going downhill at full speed. And even then Strickland fought a dumb fight and was uncharacteristically complacent to get caught with that left hook. There's nothing wrong with his chin either. Sure he got KO'd by Alex but I've seen him eat and walk through huge shots from big punchers that would've at the very least dropped a lot of other MWs.

    @albishootin I love Strickland, but he got conditioned really quick to drop his hand to parry the body shot. Then Alex threw a shoulder feint to the body, then uncorked that lead hook. Sean got setup and fell into a trap. Alex always has that nuclear option. If it would have been anyone else, I doubt Sean would go to sleep or get hit with it more than twice.

  • @robertgillum6674
    @robertgillum66748 ай бұрын

    The noodle thing makes sense if you remember Sean’s defense is like 90% parry. He is misdirecting the punches thrown at him, which drains the punchers energy in their arms. It’s like quicksand. You almost have to pull your arms back into position after they are directed down, to the side, upwards etc. not straight out and straight back like with a block.

    Too many idiots at MW just let Izzy destroy their legs. The 3 guys who beat him in MMA all checked his kicks and completely nullified his offensive game. He only beat Pereira by taking PEDs and Alex getting reckless while draining himself. Jan, Sean, and Alex all checked his kicks and broke him. His nickname is funny cause he is completely unable to bend his style even slightly, he has no plan b or c to fall back on in these fights. He has no chance at 205 either cause he won't carry power up like Alex.

I had to fight a guy from Vanuatu but I made the mistake of not hating that guy. I lost that fight. There was a preflight interview in alysna was asked if he hated Sean Strickland and he answered "no not hate He just annoys me like a little brother" and I thought then it was very different than the real anger about race and his African identity which you pointed out is an issue for him lol. I think he's so comfortable with the dog stuff and the painted nails in the China thing that he kind of ran with it even though it would make normal people really angry He seemed to embrace that so I don't think the true hatred was there so I get what he's saying. Also I think he really overlooked Sean . He was still calling out duplusi before the Strickland fight. And I'm not even a Izzy fan. As a kiwi He does come across weird

    I've heard a lot of fighters use the bad dream analogy, Woodley said it in the ring after losing to Usman, and I get it, I'm sure that's what it feels like. He did have a minute between each round to collect himself, analyze the situation with his corner and make adjustments, but that just didn't happen.

    Izzy is providing a technical analysis. But the real problem wasn't technique, or Sean Strickland being way better. The problem was a mental problem, where Izzy was not willing to take any risks, or move forward. He never once moved forward. He might have been very worried about being knocked out; but he moved backwards nearly 100% of the fight. You cannot win when moving backwards, the judges are not going to give someone a win based on moving backwards. This has happened before--his fight against Yoel Romero was not a good performance at all: his offense stopped completely after he was badly clipped by Romero. I think there's a deeper problem here, which could actually signal the end of his career.

    (if i had to brainstorm for him going forward) In Izzy's older fights he seemed way more dynamic. Using elbows/Knee's/fighting in the clinch/actually using combo's/using intelligent offense/More abstract movement & attacks. Nowadays he seems so rigid & predictable. He uses way too many feints compared to how little offense he utilizes.. He will throw like 1 or maybe 2 strikes at most.. spaced apart in a slow paced manner.. he shuffles his feet & leg kicks, and the occasional attempt at a head kick but since his patterns are so similar lately it's really easy for people to catch on. He also got in the bad habit of shelling up against the fence when he's being hit, instead of getting out of the way. He doesn't take some to give some, to break thru his opponents offense to build combo attacks.. There is so many things he COULD do, but he just doesn't.. idk what him or his team are thinking if they think they "found the best approach or something?" It's definitely not it... He has to change things up..

Since the Floyd fight he completely lost his "McGregor style" his genuine style that's given him so much success. I even thought if Conor boxed in his usual unorthodox loose flowing style, that he could have had a way bigger chance of having success in boxing. Instead they completely changed his approach to a "basic boxing approach" trying to go long rounds? When Conor never has been that guy? Then ever since that floyd fight, they never got back to the core of Conor's fighting style. I wish he could get different people around him that bring the best out of him. Will see if Conor or Izzy can turn around their fighting approach, style, etc. When they do well, they genuinely are entertaining to watch compete. Will see how things go.

    @HanzoTime So what if Guru gave it to Cannonier? There's plenty who gave it to Desean too. It wasn't a clear cut victory.

    Lol I remember seeing a video of Logan Paul after he lost a boxing match where he was like “I sneezed like 5 times today after waking up.” Lmao probably was the hardest I’ve ever laughed at someone trying to excuse why they lost

    Have you watched the video or what? (I already know the answer… it’s “no” lol because it’s 44 minutes long and has on,y been out about 30 minutes by now. Plus your comments 20 minutes old, so you posted this well before you could’ve listened to what he had to say first before making this statement

    @@Lionsheartification I’m talking about the Guru video dummy… he literally gives Izzy props multiple times through the video whenever Izzy gives Sean the prosper credit/respect he deserves. Yet you weirdos are still whining about this video… at least watch the damn thing first before crying over it

    I truly believe Izzy is scared of Sean. There is something to that. Sean will say we need to revoke his black card, izzy won't say shit. Sean will walk him down, izzy backs up and throws looping punches etc.
