Superb engineering. Which also makes it beautiful in my mind. I was around in the 80s when they were trying many new inventions for bikes. My 1985 Honda VF400 (V4, 4stroke, Water Cooled 400cc), anti-dive braking/suspension, inboard discs etc. I liked the cutting edge. This was amazing for the time, why I HAD to have it, my 1st Big(ish) bike, I loved it. Then Elf team brought out a hub steered bike, but didn't progress it, Ohlins developed 2 wheel drive, said it was great Yamaha said didn't wish to pursue it. We don't just want sensible Mr. Hond/Yam/Suzi/Kawa/Cati we want gorgeous, radical, fast, and technically amazing. You've been VERY lazy in last 15yrs, hardly any more power, no extra beauty, what are you doing. Thank biker gods for smaller makers, just cost too much unless you are Tom Cruise. We had 180HP 1,000cc for 10yrs.

Amazing, love your company, I have a pair of your 15.87 mm master cylinders on my Ducati M900 and love them. I wish you would bring back the radial 6 pot calipers instead of the traditional mounts you currently carry "/

How hub center steering isn't the to-go engineering solution on the market today is truly beyond me I mean how does one not see the more than obvious advantages compared to telescopic forks ?

Is that cable-operated or hydraulic? I wouldn't have thought that either would give a very 'direct' feel to the steering.

Hydraulic might actually be not all that bad. We drive cars with hydraulic steering, and it's generally pretty good.

What if some dirt or rock gets inside that mechanism,,wont it prevent turning?. Does any motorcycle manufacturer uses this fork??

Bimota has been used this steering system for almost 30 years i think, they recently got bought by kawasaki. i don't quite see dirt or rock as an issue with this design, it's not very clear in this video but the pivoting components of this design are not really accesible for rocks

The only bad thing about this is the fact that the suspension arches forward which is counterintuitive when it comes to bump absorption.

The rear swingarm is trailing so it gets pulled over the bumps. The front swingarm on this is leading so it pushes into the bumps. If you have a wheel barrow and you pull it walking backwards up a step it comes up easy but if you walk forward towards the step and bump the wheel barrow up wheel first, you'll encounter some resistance. Hope that helps.

That might be a problem if the WHEEL DIDN'T TURN. But leading-arm suspensions have worked just fine for decades on cars like the Citroen 2CV. And they work just fine on several experimental forkless motorcycles.

brittish idea copied by foreigners, just like the colt 45 revolver, and a million other ideas, difazio must be about 94 now he was from froome in the uk, he built the full frame ready to drop the engine you specify, he only built 1 frame for the bull nose ss imola 750 engine.
