    thanks! i am so happy when they change things because of my feedback. I am generally asking for 4 things to most of the brands - skates that look cool - skates that are supportive - frames lengths that match the foot length - dual sizing making the sizing true to shell size. reducing stock and reducing confusion for customer about what size to get.

    Cool! id wish i could share it all though. There are products all these brands are working on that we as a shop know about but cant tell yet! exciting stuff is coming for sure. What do you think of the snow skates? should we jump on it? K2 also has a very short ski called the K2 Fatty ski ironically. Id love to try

    @@Thisissoul Being an avid skier myself I would go for more of a ski blade/short ski that attaches to my aggressive skate. A 1.5-2.5ft long ski that hooks up to a UFS frame or has a UFS frame attached to it would be awesome! I just want something that brings the grinding game of inline skate world into the ski world!

    I would use this kind of product for a rail park/urban winter sessions only. Wouldn't completely replace my skis. But I think bridging the gap between the aggressive inline world and ski world is crucial to getting more people back on inline skates!

    Thanks man! The Original current style hardboot freestyle skate came to life because of slalom. All the other brands just copied this 4x80mm style after that. For anybody not doing slalom however the frame needs to be about the same length as the foot. I spend the last couple of years talking to the brands about this and things are slowly changing now

    Is K2 gonna put out a aggressive skate this year.. I heard they were pulling out of the aggressive game.. hope not I love K2, I still got my yellow 250cc from 2001 and their still rockin!!! And their super light and comfy and durable and they are wide feet friendly and a true flat shell, which is great bc I hate the forward lean makes my feel hurt

    ice/summer skating can be done with 1 boot, just gotta be sure to have rustproof components. But ski boots are way sturdier and taller than skates I'm afraid, they are more akin to motocross boots I'd say.

    Awesome Video! I wish we had something like this in the US. -~-Smaller USD AEONS!!! 36 to 38eu you said? How those would fit for someone with a ~20cm foot? -~-Powerslide booth was very exciting. I loved the new USD PRO SKATES and was hoping to see a Chris Farmer Pro Skate this year. I love that the purple on his Sway matches the Purple of his pro redeyes wheel. Also... did you say Fluid 5 Frame? The Fluid Frames are amazing products. Can't wait to see what tweaks that made to version 5. -~-I love that Them Skates is improving their products and growing in popularity. Positive Vibes to JJ and the Them Team. -~-I really liked the Navy Colorway on the Nils but am also happy that they are actually more black than blue as I noticed that that was a popular comment upon the reveal of the skate. I feel like a lot of people will be happy with it being more black and white. -~-I'm excited to see all of the things you could not reveal in this video! Thanks for documenting your trip to ISPO 2020!

    @@Thisissoul Thanks this is helpful. Powerslide just posted a video on the new Junior Throne... It looks like that is more appropriate. Flat Kizer Frame and a Mondo Point Sizing of 222 to 236 (mm) Eu35-37. On another chart for a ski company it looks like that is about the size for someone who buys a womens US 4/4.5 which is what I am looking for.

    I think the snow-skates seem gimmicky and stupid, there's a reason skis are preferable on a mountain. If you don't want them to feel long then just get heavily rockered twintip ones.

  • @christophevansteenbergen4042
    @christophevansteenbergen40424 жыл бұрын

    The snow skates look like too much of a gimmick for mainland Europe. There isn't a lot of snow to begin with, and when there is, it gets removed in a heartbeat. On the ski slopes I would indeed also prefer longer skis, those snow skates are going to dig themselves In the snow in a second on anything except perfectly groomed slopes

    @@Thisissoul I must admit that I myself did have a lot of fun on the original bigfoot skis. But this was before twintips were a thing. The industry has evolved a lot, these days I can get a huge free ride ski that weighs less than old bigfoots. Why would someone pay over 200€ for a K2 Fatty for example if you can get a regular all mountain twintip ski starting from 300€? I'm not saying noone would buy these, but most "parkrat" skiers would opt for the regular twintip. Just because they offer far more possibilities for a "small" change in price

    @@christophevansteenbergen4042 Thanks for the feedback. I see it as another category of skiing and not a cheaper or better way to do the other stuff. The difference being that on small ski's it is easier grind a little P-rail or a small handrail you found in the street. simulair how the thisissoul team is having fun with small stuff over here. kzread.info/dash/bejne/fXp2ltF-n5fghaw.html If you want to go super fast and go in big mega ramps then def get a ski that is as long as your own height like normal ski's Is that a good way to look at it?

  • @christophevansteenbergen4042

    @@Thisissoul probably yes, in a more urban environment these will out preform any ski and I would be lying if I said I wouldn't want to try it myself, but then I would need to refer to my first point. Is the 2 to 3 days of snow worth the investment? If you're living up north or in a mountainous region, I could see the appeal to make the investment, for me in Belgium I would just pay less than €10 to get in an indoor skate park and keep the money for skate gear or an ice blade.
