The PC-6 is the plane so aesthetically unusual it transcends the conventional definitions of ugly and beautiful. I love them.

its long nose is only due to the lighter turbine engine compared to the original piston engine : to keep the CG right, it had to be stretched. Can't say the PC-6 is a beautiful plane but it is very distinctive and I like it this way.

And now this year Pilates is discontinuing the production line. How very sad. Fortunately there are about 300 still flying. Long live the Porter!

Great video, inspirational to me as I love this airplane so much. I should do something to make some serious money so I can purchase and operate one myself. You can make money with this plane, you can save people, animals, do some real good. The Turbo Porter is up to the task!

This is my favorite turbine single. How long has this aircraft been in production? I remember a Pilatus demo team came to Hurlburt Field in the late 80's and this was an amazing aircraft. I believe they were around during the Vietnam conflict as well.

Jeffrey Collier Found some info about the ones flying during the Vietnam war. ''The Fairchild AU-23A Peacemaker was an American armed gunship, counter-insurgency, utility transport version of the Pilatus PC-6 Porter for the U.S. Air Force. A total of 15 were built under license in the USA by Fairchild Industries, for use during the Vietnam War in the early 1970s''

Tri Pacer Useless, It's a tricycle gear runway only machine. It simply does not compare to the Porter.

เป็นเครื่องบินที่หน้าเป็นเจ้าของมันดูไม่เหมือนใครมันมีถังน้ำมันสำรองมันเหมือนหน่วยปฏิบัติการพิเศษ
nice plane and music but the visuals don't keep up with it.
