Isn't It The Music That Matters Most? (Part I)

In this video I take on the idea that music should come first and foremost (top priority) when it comes to buying music. Essentially I propose the question: Are you are music fan or a fan of collecting? #classicrock #recordcollectors #recordcollecting

I listen to a lot of music but only buy/collect releases that i know I'll listen multiple times. Agree that I don't understand people who collect every single variant of an album. But, at the same time, it's their money and they can do as they please with it. I can understand people who say I had to listen to such and such record a dozen times before I got it/appreciated the musicianship. It has happened to me on several occasions. The two I clearly remember are Kansas' Leftoverture and Images and Words by Dream Theater; both times I didn't like or get the music so just set them aside as just wasted money. However, a while later I said to myself I bought the damned things, so let me give them another listen and if I still don't get them I'll sell them. Obviously, I enjoyed both and they are still in my collection.

Great episode. Very interesting. It’s all about the music. I never understood why somebody needs 10 copies of Physical Graffiti or Back In Black.

Enjoyed the episode, you made some good points. We have a relative in our family who's a hoarder. They have now reached an age where they have to move out of their home to a smaller residence but won't part with anything, it all has to go with them, It's destressing because it's going to turn into a major drama.
