It's not about the fitnah i am staying away from.. but eversince i never thought of getting married and having a family i dont why... I am 34 years old single and I want to spend my time with my parents.

"....and I marry women, he who neglects my Sunnah is not from me..." (The prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, Saheeh muslim). If you have the well-being and the means to marriage, you should get married. It's your choice yes, but as our family, we urge you to get married. God guide and bless you.

@Red Red Always remember Allah is the best planer. Whatever you or me decide today is not how things gonna go. Everything happens according to his will. And He knows you more what you about yourself. Allah knows what's in your heart and he can create what's not there. "Innalaha Ala Kulli Saiyeen Qadir": Indeed Allah is capable of everything. Do not deny any "Niyamah" or gift He offers you. I'm younger than you. So may be I can not advice you but I can help you remember the merciful rabbul alamin of you and me. I used to feel that way. Sometimes I still feel like It's better if I don't get married... I don't know your reason but I tried finding the reason why I feel that way. I feel that way when I feel down, hopeless... like I'm worthless, I'm not fit for anybody, I don't deserve anybody, there isn't a heart that is polluted like me, the is no soul that is filled with pain and sin like me(the list goes on). When that happens to me I seek refuge with my "Rabbul Alamin" from the deceiver that lives inside me, I say... not just say... like I mean it... "Rabban Zalamna Anfusana Wa Ellam Tagfirlana Otarhamna Lana Qunanna minal Khhasirin" and "Hasbunnallahu Wa Neeemal Wakil": Allah is sufficient for me. And I find peace and hope. And I pray May Allah grant it to you too.

@@sabr7413 It's not mandatory, as far as I've researched. But it's a sin if we avoid marriage only in two scenarios. 1. We think it will please Allah (living like a nun or priest). Which Muhammad SAW said, "i'm a prophet, and I marry women!". To one of his followers, who thought you're more pure if you never get married. 2. If you don't want to get married, because you want to have relationships with the opposite gender without marriage. It isn't mandatory, but it's highly recommended in Islam if you're mentally and physically healthy, (haven't got any disabilities). Reason being, what will prevent a healthy person from commiting Zina? If its not this year, it could happen next year. Islam gave marriage as a preventive measure for that. Bro, I don't want to get married either. But just giving the Idlamic facts. You want to look after your parents? Eventually they'll keep begging for grandchildren. My parents never stop talking about wanting grandchildren, even though I'm not married, nor am i ready to get married. 🤦🏽‍♂️

There is no pious women around me. Most of them or their family are greedy. They want Govt job rather than a halal income. So I decided not to participate in this test. I will not get married. I think it should be better to not have a wife rather than a greedy wife.

You can brother, maybe find a women who is not high maintenance and will be appreciative. Do you think muslims with low paying jobs don't get married? I have seen some with multiple wives and Alhamdulillah they manage. We are obsessed with getting wealthy, however not everyone will get wealthy. Rizq is from Allah.

@@SM-rf4vr nah it's today's condition that are causing the problem. Compare buying a house 20 years ago vs now and compare standards of living then and now. Increasing working hours, crimes and many more things force people not to marry even if they want to.

@@AhmedKhan3.14 All these factors play a role, maybe people should put their trust in Allah. We can look at these issues as a challenge and decided to face them. These days people are not mentally strong unfortunately.

if I’m incompetent in terms of marriage does that mean I will not be effected negatively in the afterlife by the outcome of my decision to not get married? I pray that Allah forgives me for not choosing to get married because of my lack of fulfillments no matter how much I want to get married - it’s just the duniya. This is probably one of the most most Difficult tests depending on your nature.

You should get married if you have enough money to provide a wife and keep her happy and protected. Then its better to get married. Otherwise no.

Most men not getting married... also are being spoilt by their mothers and don't encourage their sons to get married. Their son wouod tell their mother,' "...mum, all the girls are bad nowadays, can't find a decent girl...etc, etc;" and their mums would support them in their excuse...which puts off the son from marrying

It's ok for a female to choose not to marry and help parents but for a man, it's not. A woman not getting married and helping parents, especially a mother who in old age if infirm, can even help her clean her if incontinent. How would a man could bathe or help his mum to clean her if she's incontinent ? Most men not wanting to marry are just fearful of responsibilities attached to wife and children. I can't beleive a man who's physically healthy that he doesn't have feelings of sexual nature towards a woman. For a man not having sex(halal...in marriage, don't get me wrong) all his life, there are health problems associated with it.

Most marriage these days are failure. Besides, not all men are gifted with normal looks. Some men are short and small and got bullied and mocked since young. Its already so hard to find proper job let alone to find wife. As for sexual sins, Allah is forgiving and merciful. He understands our situation because He was the one who made it difficult for some men from getting married.
