I covered an early Kickstarter demo of Isles of Sea and Sky four years ago (when it was called Akurra). The full game's just been released and it's VERY good. It's got phenomenal puzzle and world design, with clever secrets and puzzles packed into every nook and cranny. I was only planning on doing a video of the Stoney Cliffs island, but it really got its hooks into me so I had to see it through! :)

Wow. Link’s Awakening and Oracle of Seasons/Oracle of Ages are practically oozing out of this game. Nice touch.

Yeah, a lot of thought has gone into the design of this game. It's very cleverly done!

1:42:00 Somehow while doing that puzzle I never realized that you could get in the area with the wind elemental by yourself, so every time I wanted to enter that area, I placed the water elemental right next to the wind elemental to align myself right, I made the puzzle way too hard on myself

The puzzle style is a lot like Goof Troop on the SNES

I think its broadly based off or slightly inspired by Indonesian and Thai Mythology, which has Dharmic Roots. This is evident with the ending scene evoking Ramayana.

love the little sideye the turtle gives you when you climb onto them

I like this kind of puzzle game, my first game that i played is the legend of zelda the minish cap, the puzzles made me feel smart when i solve them fast and dumb when they were very simple and i overcomplicate them, it just feel very soothing along with the right music (⁠๑⁠¯⁠◡⁠¯⁠๑⁠)

Yeah it's a great puzzle game! The sort of game that makes you feel like you're getting smarter as you play!

Any thoughts on 100% clearing the game. The 3 other major islands and all the small islands still have more puzzles and challenges.

Ah sorry about that. That was an editing error in the video. You basically need to figure out how to access the bottom of the ladder where the arrow block is. You'll notice that I show the route to access that ladder during solving the rest of the level.

@@AlphaBetaGamer I ended up watching a few other videos and found out there are slight differences to each map depending on the randomizer on each save (like the birds randomizing which location they take you) and the way you unlock that block is much different than what you had shown (since you need that block gone before you can do that method) instead you'd have to use the wooden block in the far right near the bird.

I'd buy that on ps vita
