Fun video!! Beautiful scenery. I just did want to mention though, that sea kayaking comes with so many more danger factors than fresh water paddling does. Just please make sure that the next time you guys head out, you’ve done a bit of research on sea kayak safety methods and bring a paddle float in case of capsize. Even on a nice warm day you can die of hypothermia if you can’t get back in your boat. And maybe you did bring one! Just have to know how to use it and practice with it before it’s a life or death situation. Sorry for the doom and gloom, I really do appreciate your videos and hope to see more ocean paddling! Thanks for the content 🙏

However as a sea kayak guide and instructor, I would recommend you guys check out some courses at our local HRM kayak Outfitters to get more acquainted with your kayaks. I have no doubt that you are very comfortable in the water, but a new sport comes with some new learning! Happy paddling!!

Happy to see you posting about our home province of Nova Scotia. It is certainly awesome to see the land from a different perspective, coming from the water side for sure. That was pretty awesome special effect with the onion. I can never get it to do that for me when I am peeling onions...lol Do you think you can teach me how to do that????? I was so of expecting a very special birthday surprise for Rachel. Something like the rock formations you were talking to us about. Something with a few more carats and clarity...🙂💍💎💍💎Now that would have been better then the cake.... lol. Looking forward to your scallop diving videos. Take care and stay safe and warm out there to the both of you. 🌠🌌🌈🏖🎂🎂🎂🧅🧅🧅❤❤

Advice I read recently concerning the great white shark increase in in our Nova Scotia waters is to stay clear of places where there are lots of seals because that is what the great whites hunt. You don't want to be in their hunting territory!

Things have changed around that area since I was younger, but still a beautiful place. I think the birthday surprise made up the " I can't believe you didn't help me" on the last video when you two were out on your two year anniversary! Haha! I think all may have to be forgiven. lol Looking forward to seeing more sea kayaking adventures and diving as well. Thanks for sharing. :) :)

I normally put the spray skirt on my self first then pull it onto the cockpit opening after sitting myself down. If you are trying to launch in surf you will never make it trying to wiggle in this way. Was very amusing to see this technique though.

Thanks for the great video(s), as I'm just discovering your channel. As a photographer, I've spent most of my life backpacking and sailing, but so far kayaking hasn't been on my list. Canoeing, yes. It took me 11 years to finish the Pacific Crest Trail, just finished the Ice Age Trail, and in college we did the Appalachian Trail over 4 years, but I really, really love Nova Scotia and I've often wondered what it would be like to live there. I'm just beginning to explore your wonderful videos and now I'm a subscriber. Thanks again, and best of luck to you and Rachyl. It might be nice if you had some spare time to put together an equipment list of your favorite items that you like to take with you on the trail, and perhaps also develop that list to sponsor a product(s) page on Amazon. It's a great way to get some extra income which would help, I'm assuming. I'm sure you have extensive knowledge on various items on your 'must have' list of things that you bring with you on the trail. Good luck!
