It's uncanny how the old lady immediately sees who Joe really is. She thinks he's evil at first but within one encounter she realizes who he really is. Someone who helps the souls of humans transition to a better place. Very powerful scene the way he, for a brief moment, gives her a glimpse into the afterlife.

But It's up to you to recognize it for what it is, or u gonna regret it. When they face you, a kind smile on their face, but you're too egoistically involved into your "life" at least that's how you call this bunch of meaningless pile of crap. That's when u mess up. "No obeah, sister" (no evil spirit), "no devil no dere be" (no devil is here). "Everything gwan be iree" (will be alright). " Don't leave, don't leave me!" "Go with the doctor lady, Mama going to be fine, now." "Obeah!" "Right, then, obeah is evil, I'm not evil." "Then what are you?" "I'm from that next place." "You're waiting here to take us, as if you are the bus driver to that place?" "No, ma'am, I'm on holiday!" "Some spot you picked!" "The pain is very bad." "I don't have anything to do with these things, you know." "Make it go away!" "The doctor lady will make it alright." "Not this pain, this pain goes through and through. Make it go away" "I can't, sister." "You can, mister! Take me to that next place!" "It's not your time, now." "Make it time!" "You can't fool with the way things have to be!" "Close your eyes. Go on, sister." This is when he gives her a glimpse of Heaven, so that she may endure the pain while waiting. So, so touching.
