Islam is a great training partner, he never uses power and he allows the kid to try stuff, he even encourages him. That's the russian training school, it's all about playing, using technique and having fun, they almost never go at 100% in training. That's why they are so technical and the best wrestlers in the world.

Breakdown for non-wrestlers: He first taps his neck as a supposed distraction, after which (and this is the part most unexperienced wrestlers won't pick up on) he uses his left hand to reach for the opponent's right leg, pretending to take the single leg, while at the same time having control of the opponent's right hand. When he reaches for the opponent's right leg, the opponent naturally tries to step his right leg back in order to avoid it from being captured. As the opponent lifts his right leg up to step back for a split second, it is at that moment that all his weight is resting on his left leg, at which point Islam then pulls the opponent's left hand that he had in control, under and up top, on the other side, causing the opponent to lose balance (due to all his weight being on one leg), and falling flat on his face. Edit: Thanks alot guys for your kind replies, didn't think i'd get so many likes and responses. Someone asked how to defend it; though i'm not an expert, the only way i can tell it could be defended is if Chase didn't let go of Islam's right hand that was grabbing Chase's left hand. Islam couldn't have pulled this move had Chase continued to block the rotation with his free hand. Notice that he lets go of Islam's hand split second before Islam does the arm raise and rotation.

It's interesting to see that Islam has more of a judo approach to his wrestling than Khabib. Islam (left-handed fighter) opts to control his opponent's left hand before placing his own left hand. Whereas Khabib more often settles for double underhooks and more 'unorthodox' grips. This results in both athletes favoring different type of techniques. Islam feels comfortable playing around with the 'switcheroo' (uchi mata to ko soto and visa versa), whereas Khabib is looking to exert pressure and going for pickups. Very interesting how they have a trademark different style, while they grew up and trained together!

@PrisonCipher And he's playing with him, don't even go 100%, he let him use stuff; Russias are known for that, they use low-energy and are generally hard to TD, that's why they are the best wrestlers

I could watch this all day. It's like watching a Lion teaching a cub. The kid is good and will be a beast. It's just the way the man flowed and made the kid work without going 100% back at him.

Man, we just don't know how good they are. We don't see how hard they train, we only get to see an overview on how they train and how they perform but I'm sure we lose the most of the hard beatings they receive in order for them to be so dominant. Huge respect to the Russian guys from Mexico.
