His ufc debut was in 2015 and this was in 2016 when do u plan on starting mma and will u go directly into pro like how kickboxers transition to mma or will u have a amateur career like how khabib spoke about having huge amateur experience

I’ll probably have a very abbreviated amateur career compared to others. I’m really hoping I can go pro next year after I have an amateur fight or two to get the jitters out. I think combat Sambo is great for that too. It really gets you used to the pressure of a mma fight without going on your pro record.

I want to fight like Khabib and Islam and I am wondering how nd where to train to get to be like them. Do you take all the individual grappling arts like wrestling, judo, BJJ, and try and make it work or do you have to go to russia and learn sambo. How do I know what to take from each and what to discard and get all the tequnique that they have in the us

This largely depends on where you reside. If there is somewhere to do Sambo then do that. If there is only the option to chose each individual art do that. I wouldn’t move to Russia to learn Sambo until you practice at least Wrestling, Judo or Sambo for a while both to make sure you are committed and you don’t want to go get your ass kicked completely starting off. Those guys are seriously good. I think you will intuitively understand what to take based on your own success in live rounds. None of the sports listed are bullshido so everything works just try what you are shown in the technical portion of class and find what works for you. I would also suggest finding others who have both a similar body shape to you and possibly demeanor to watch at high levels.

Eldar eldarov khabibs childhood friend and former opponent who gave khabib the shirt 'if sambo was easy it would be called jiu jitsu' said that in every sambo competition everyone has a minimum of 5 fights in 1 night is this true because when i saw ur match u had only 1 fight and i thought in terms of cardio this doesn't translate well into mma since its only a 5 minute bout but after hearing eldarov say that everyone fight minimum 5 fight in 1 night it changed my mind

I think some context might be missing. Was he talking about training or in competition. You can get 5 matches in competition but it’s not guaranteed.

He is correct you can have 5 fights a tournament if you win all your matches. If you lose them you don’t get to keep going in Combat Sambo. The guys that do make it pro in mma probably don’t lose often so they do get a few fights a tournament.
