Personally in the absence of truth and wavering radiant are just as good. In absence been the first album I heard and I think it has some of there best songs ‘Dulcinea and garden of light’. Also for me wavering radiant is hugely underrated, might actually be my favourite.

Viktor Johansson yea I’m with you Oceanic is just perfect and nothing will touch it for me. A great concept story that I always have to listen to start to finish. And Panopticon is right behind with more progressive elements.

Well someone has to back celestial up.lol that album had the biggest growth on me out of all of them , probably due to being so hard to listen to at first. Gentle Time is a master piece in my eyes. All the final tracks of their albums always seem to be the perfect ending and in turn the best song on the album.

Bro! This is the first isis song I ever heard and I had it on repeat for like half a week straight and I really wanted to check out what else they did but I couldn't get past this song, it still till this day just now as I listened to it made me very emotional, and no I'm not a big dryer or someone who cries at movies or now if or even when something extremely sad happens in my personal life tbh where anyone would cry like for example losing a loved one, it still takes me a very long time to cry it's like this mental block that tells me its not ok, but yet this song gets it out of me all the time. It's so truly epic, getting lost in it u feel myself so small perhaps as the album's artwork may suggest, to feel so tiny in such a large and grand space, like a grain of sand on the ocean floor but it makes me feel so humble at once and somehow this song inspires me to feel that tho we are so tiny we all matter for we all make up the world and the universe. That's what this song makes me picture in an introspective way, it makes me pensive and very relaxed at the same time, I could do on and on, it is straight up gorgeous melodic metal and guess what so is a lot of the rest of isis' music

Isis was a major goddess in ancient Egyptian religion whose worship spread throughout the Greco-Roman world. Isis was first mentioned in the Old Kingdom (c. 2686-2181 BCE) as one of the main characters of the Osiris myth, in which she resurrects her slain husband, the divine king Osiris, and produces and protects his heir, Horus. She was believed to help the dead enter the afterlife as she had helped Osiris, and she was considered the divine mother of the pharaoh, who was likened to Horus

New sub here for ISIS ! I had the pleasure of seeing them live 6 times around Texas. They never disappointed and were some of the nicest and biggest music nerds that I've met from a touring band. I really recommend the album's 'Panopticon' and 'In the Abscence of Truth'. You can also find a live DVD online called 'Clearing the Eye' it has music videos, single live recordings, as well as a full set from one of their shows. Most sites have it for pretty cheap these days and I can't recommend it enough. Hours of music with great audio quality. Hope to see some more reactions in the future.

Hey Ruben, if you like Aaron Turner, check out his new band Sumac. It's insanely heavy/cavernous for a 3 piece band (Aaron uses a lot of cool techniques to sound like 2 guitars). Hollow King and Blight's End Angel from the first album The Deal should put you on the right path. Love the reactions, keep it up!
