A gazal is only formed when pain becomes unbearable and words become the soothing of that pain. Jagjit gi and mirza ghalib go together hand in hand... another masterpiece by the king of gazals

মানুষ কী ভাবে এত এমন ভাবে গাইতে পারে! মানুষ কী ভাবে এমন অভিনয় করতে পারে!! নীনাগুপ্তা-নাসিরুদ্দিনশাহর এমন অভিনয় আর জগজিৎ-চিত্রার এমন গলা শুনলে পৃথিবীটা সুন্দর হয়ে ওঠে। বহুদিন বাঁচতে ইচ্ছা করে। মনে হয়, মনের ভেতরে থাকা অজস্র পাপ নিহত হয়ে যাচ্ছে! কী মধুর অনুভূতি!!

Vinayak Joshi Ji yaha kisi mazhab ki nahi balki fun aur adakari ki baat ki ja rahi hai. jin logon ne is adakari ko mukkamal kiya woh sabhi log musalmaan nahi the. funkar aur adakari ki kabhi koi bhasha nahi hoti, koi mazhab nahi hota. neena gupta aur jagjit singh kabhi musalmaan nahi they.woh musalmaan ho gaye uus adakari ko nibhane ke liye. sharm kijiye apne oche khyalato par.

I watched this show on doordarshan in india. After more than 30 years i still have the same feeling and love for the show. Its a masterpiece, hats of to Naseeruddin, Gulzar Saab and Jagjeet Singh, Neena Gupta amazing too.

Pahle Sanjiv Kumar ko role offer kiya gaya tha but unhe dates ki problem aa rahi thi. So as per Nasiruddin Shah He wrote a letter to Gulzar requesting for this role. Gulzar asked some other Actors but no film actor was interested to work in a Serial. 1 saal baad Gulzar ne Naseeruddin ko bulawa bhej diya. Its Director who is responsible for extracting the best of an Actor and refining his performance not the Actor himself.

This is one of my fav Ghazals of Ghalib. And this is one of the best documentaries I have ever watched. Love the Ghalib's poetry mostly his melancholic tone in every ghazal. I suggest everyone to watch it...
