for some reason, "The promised neverland" just gives off this different kind of vibe which most animes don't. I can't really explain it. It's like the mixture of sadness, friendship, nostalgia, a family's love, adventure, emptiness and loneliness.

She may sound like a villan, but deep inside she did it for them. (spoiler alert) that's why she didn't let Norman say I love you to Emma, she didn't want her children feel the same pain as she did when her crush was "adopted". thank you, Isabella, you will be remembered even after we escaped.

Isabella is not a villian, she is just misunderstood, she chose to be a mom just to live longer. The fact that Isabella doesn’t actually want to do this to the children makes it even more sad. She was actually happy when the kids escaped, knowing that she didn’t escape herself, she was still happy because she was the one who put the kids through this life and that they deserve it more than her. She said she gave birth to Ray just to live longer and survive, she doesn’t want to get eaten by demons. She loves her children just like they were her own, she is doing this just to save her own life. She had no choice but to do this to the children, she hums the song every time its time to ship one of the kids out because she knows that she can’t cry in front of the kids because they don’t know whats behind the gate, if she did then they will have an uneasy feeling about going in. Why was this long you ask Oh its just to make people feel bad for her Leslie is dead and he made the song, Isabella sings the song because she knows that they will be killed.

This is just a thought that came up while I was listening to this. Imagine a mother comforting her dying daughter in a hospital. The girl starts crying because she doesn't want to die. The mom starts to sing this song to calm her down. As the song goes, the heartbeat moniter starts beeping faster and faster, as the girl starts to pass on. And after that pause in the lyrics, she breaks out into sobs as she sings her soul out to her dead daughter. Giving her prayers to whatever is up there to protect her daughter and ensure her happiness. The hospital staff and the girls family members stay still in silence, with tears running down their faces. The feel nothing but pain and sadness while she's singing.

Mom really had no choice, in the end she really did make those kids feel on top of the world. She gave them comfort, warmth and love. She will die if she didn't ship them out but, she didn't do it to save her self. She did it so she can continue on to care for more children because she really loved them so much.

isabella was also known to be the youngest mother in the plants. it’s very tragic because she loved every kid truly and took care of them so well as if they were her real children. when norman asked if she was happy, she had to lie. imagine the pain she would’ve felt just by saying she was happy. now that i think about it.. isabella tried to escape but gave up too quickly. she admired emma and the others for not giving up like her. oh, how everything would’ve changed completely if her crush didn’t get shipped out before and they got to escape together. i have a feeling she felt so guilty for breaking emmas leg and having to say she just hurt herself and it was a small bruise. she may be like a very mean person.. but every villain has a heart of gold and also have done/seen some traumatic things that hurt them. she’s my ultimate favourite character considering this is the only anime i ever binge watch. her lullaby (originated from leslie) is definitely a melody that just can’t get out of my head. this is a beautiful song and the lyrics fit so well to the film! bravo.

But not going to lie, Isabella’s story is so damn sad.

In this cover, Isabella looks like the protagonist. Atleast she is for me, she never had the choice and it was the demons who captivated her. She loves her children and wanted the best for them but she just did what she never wanted to do. She endured losing them one by one and it pains her. Their world is just so cruel for her. Edit: God. I used to hate Isabella for shipping away the children, but in the last episode of S1, I realized that she’s just as much of a victim as the kids are. She became a mother to survive and had no choice in the fate of her children. Like she song says “the world is against me, I cannot fight.” This shows that no matter how bad she wanted to tell all of them to leave and escape. She couldn’t . As she hummed this song while walking the children to the gate was her own way of saying she’s sorry, by giving them peace and calm as long as she could. The reason she wanted Emma to become a mom was because she wanted to save her, even if her life would be miserable. Her moments where she let everyone leave was full of peace, because she could now rest assured that they would be free

Isebella's lullaby is literally her inner words, her wishes, her love, her pain. . . Please don't show hate towards her. She is a real mother, the best that could ever exist in an anime.

Isabella truly did care for the children and wanted those who escaped to be safe, that’s why she collected the rope from the wall so the demons wouldn’t know they went that way and it would buy the kids a little time.

I’ve always had this thing for the “Villains” In anime’s, but Isabella’s Reason hurts. She doesn’t want to send the children to their death, She just doesn’t have a choice. And with that she sings cause she can’t cry in front of the children. She just wanted to live :/

This song literally made me cry...the lyrics are so powerful and meaningful..

You may trait Isabella as a vallian, but she really loved the kids and wanted to make them happy and live a long life and that's even why she didn't let them know- because she wanted to be their last moments happy. She actually did what almost everyone else would do- survive. she became the mom because she would be shipped if she didn't. She's an amazing character.

If my mother told me, "I'm sorry, child. I just did it to survive, longer than anyone..." I'm definitely not gonna be here in this situation.

This is one of the best covers I’ve heard of Isabella’s Lullaby. The lyrics is so heartbreaking and made me cry :’(
