Lol, perfect editing. In my head "Wait... will that" "Yes, it clears the bonnet." "Oh, ok then."
Come for the spanners, stay for the beats. Phat tunes as always.

Nice work dude. I'm a hydraulic fitter, good to see someone on KZread doing shit properly 🤣🤣🤣
I literally just searched LS oil accumulator and saw that you’ve uploaded 2 mins ago!!!! Thankyou sir! 😂😂

Awesome video! Almost finished my rebuild on my drift/race car and now bought a accumulator to install because of your video!
That backing tune gave me Quench 'Dreams' vibes - old school Aussie trance at its best. Just needed a 4/4 kick drum behind it. Great to see the accumulator install, its another feather in the IS600's cap, making it much more resilient. Cheers Benny!
Great video Benny! Thanks legend
cool job, sick tunes. loved the extended mix 🎶👌
Nice work, I understand what you have just fitted, but its out of my wheel house of skills, and I've used the universal bonnet prop by Oates, can get them pretty much anywhere, bloody great video Benny 👍🏼👍🏼
Music choice is 👌!
Great video - especially when you're coding the ECU for the accumulator. Thanks.
I love how many times you said dive on in. I hope it was a deliberate american dad reference not just an accident. On ya Benny 😂👍
10:15 I had to hit replay 3 or 4 times, that was so slick haha
Nice happy Gilmore reference 😂
Love the preemptive response to internet experts... "yes it clears the bonnet" lmao
Benny..once again. Tunes on fcking point bro!!
You really should explain what an oil accumulater is at the start of the video.
Would you have to leave reds on when draining the oil, so you can change the oil also in the accumulator?
Does the Moroso have a typical relief valve to the Accusump? If so check for leaks at the relief valve
I have tried using BCW5 when i have bought from Sparesbox and can't get it to work, any suggestions ?
Song is so badass. What is it?
i seem to remember andrew hawkins having these in the back of jet200 and the gtr, so i think its fine to have it in the car

also can someone show this to Cleetus McFarland, they seem to have endless issues with oil pressure
You could make your 12v switched to your accumulator relay come from the key, that way it would hold the oil when you kill it and prime it and let the ECU control it while running??
@BennysCustomWorks
Жыл бұрын
The ecu also allows it to come on at 0 Rpm ( that’s how we set it up )
Hey Benny. You wouldn't have the pn for the valve you fitted to the accumulator, by any chance?
@BennysCustomWorks

It came on it sorry.
have you got gates and baffles in your sump ?
@BennysCustomWorks
Жыл бұрын
Yes. It’s a gated/ baffled sikky sump
The way you set up the solenoid to close as soon as it hits 35psi, won't that prevent you from being able to store full engine oil pressure in the accumulator for the next start up? Dumping 35psi into the engine when cold is good, but 60psi would be better :)
@BennysCustomWorks
Жыл бұрын
The solenoid is a diaphragm type so is effectively a one way valve so it’s always allowing more pressure in until it equalises. You only need to drive the solenoid to allow oil to return to the engine
@Lightningmacqueen882
Жыл бұрын
Benny just to add alittle further to this it would be just easy to open the solenoid with the reds on at anytime, then when you get a low power situation the accumulator will just take over and save the engine. Honestly no real need for a low pressure switch. Regards Michael
Not "tap" ball valve 🤣😂
need a normally closed solenoid, that way you dont need ecu to hold power to hold pressure in the accumulator when not running. means you dont need to manually turn it off too
@BennysCustomWorks
Жыл бұрын
It is an nc solenoid and the ecu only triggers is in the event of low oil pressure. Being a diaphragm type solenoid means it’ll allow pressure in but not out unless triggered. The ball valve is only to isolate the accumulator from the system.

@@BennysCustomWorks ah sweet I miss understood your explanation and thought it was NO. I take it ecu has no delay on rising pressure witch is why you need to map “low pressure” to figure out what to set it too so I fills enough??
@BennysCustomWorks

@@ashkellybarr8980 the ecu only controls it draining, not filling.

@@BennysCustomWorks ah right is there a check valve that bypass’ the solenoid?
Someone told me that oil accumulators are only appropriate for track dedicated cars tuned to idle above 2k because the pressure in the accumulator is more than in a fairly stock motor at idle. I'm not an expert but is there any truth to that?
@BennysCustomWorks
Жыл бұрын
If you have the accumulator electrically controlled it’s never open at idle if setup properly
Have you thought about what might happen if you have a crash ?
You should not use pipe dope on the threads with an oil system, additives in the oil will dissolve it, only use teflon tape.
@BennysCustomWorks

It’s teflon paste.
