Booked the scrambler 400x. As most of my ride is in the city and mild off reading once in a while. Looks awesome. Cheaper in price atleast 50K comparing to others. Also the ease of having alloy wheels. Great riding stance. High usable torque.

Ultimately, we should buy the bike we like. In today's product line up, even the worst bike on the market is way better than what was available a decade ago. No bike will be 100% perfect and one needs to understand the strengths and weaknesses of the bike and this review is very helpful to understand that

Without a doubt the best comparison video I’ve seen regarding the Himalayan. I am really looking forward to your take on the Scram 450. It seems to me that the Triumph would be better served in that side-by-side comparison. The 400X appears to be more road oriented with off-road abilities which, to me, is where the current Scram 411 resides. Liked, subscribed and waiting.

@Twenty3Rides Нey Jasveen, do you peg this bike in the 0-400cc beginner category, or the 400-800cc intermediate advanced/category. I wanted to see if l'Il want an upgrade over Himalayan within a couple of years or is this an end game bike for an average Indian tourer (28M, been riding for a decade- will have a track bike in future- sceptical of buying 400X since it feels like a beginner bike)

I just had a such a blast laughing when you talked about that khat khat khat...darrrrrrr sound on 390!! 😂 I immediately could co-relate with it because i just rode that bike for 15 min and was so disappointed with that engine sound and stalling in the middle of the road that i just gave up that option! Also, i would buy Himalayan any day provided it came with at least 10% better design elements. Right now they just don't exist and the bike looks too ugly to be carrying everywhere! So the only option that was left for me was 400x and that's what i booked! 😊

Had the KTM 390 Adventure, found it a great bike, was great on gas at under 80 km but above 90 Km drank a lot more gas. The mane reason I got rid of it was the service having to take it back three time for most things. Just got tired of weighting around the shop for hours at a time. If you lived close to the shop where you could drop it off and walk home might be a different story. I am hopping for the Himalayan 450 to come to Prince Edward Island Canada, I will be first in line, as long as I can pick the color, love the black, hate the white., other colors not bad.

(The price on Triumph website is $5,595. Price already increased) Freight: $1,200. Set Up: $500. PDI: $300. Plus taxes and fees. Total price is $8,752.66. Thanks for the great analysis. Couple of questions - 1. I believe the speeds you're talking about are all speedo-indicated. Doesn't the scrambler have huge speedometer error? Does that mean that comfortable speeds on the bike would be even lower? 2. How is the rear suspension on the scrambler? I am planning to get its monoshock fitted on my Duke 250 (if its a direct fit). 3. How is the himalayan in the city compared to the scrambler? Is the long wheelbase a problem in making sharp turns? And does the weight feel a hindrance in reversing the bike up a mild slope after parking it? I feel speed 400 is better than scrambler if the scrambler can't do much beyond city.

How about when you include on road handling? It seems like the Triumph, with its 23 degree rake and 19” front tire would outshine the heavier Himalayan with its 21” front tire in the corners and especially the switchbacks. But, the 452 is the most versatile, but not as engaging on the road where I’ll do most of my riding. Great reviews, I saw your reviews on both the triumph and the RE.

My thoughts as well as I will have similar usage pattern. However, I am not a tall guy and at 835mm seat height, 400x is not my cup of tea and smaller speed 400 does not check the boxes. So Himalayan 452 seems to be the only solution for me.

Don't know how much it would Cost for the upgrade. As the rear is stiff my back hurts while sitting & riding 😢. Does the SW variant adjustable suspension make any significant difference. Really appreciate you if you can throw some light over😊👍

I owned scrambler 400x on 4th of November it’s a more than week now and i am satisfied a lot because my need is all in one bike office to home every day weekends short ride and 1 or 2 long ride in a year so for that i am more than happy even after himalayan launch.. because it’s heavier and may be tubless tyre model is expensive and a very big bike compare to scram400x so for my type of rider i must say scrambler 400x is the perfect choice.

Hi... Very informative video... I ride a Duke 250 and am planning to upgrade... 390 Adv was initially on my mind but the new Himalayan looks impressive from an all terrain standpoint which our roads have become, especially state highways, even from a touring standpoint... Eagerly awaiting even the new 2nd Gen 390 adv with the revised Duke subframe that might solve the low end torque issue for the 390... A little wait and watch but we surely are living in interesting times and being spoilt for choice... Excellent video again... Keep the good stuff coming

KTM 390 Adv - i feel the low speed torque is not needed if the acceleration is high. the torque difference is just marginal to the 2 bikes (450), and you cannot expect torque in a single cylinder. A great example in Himachal is the performance of Alto compared to a 4x4. lesser maintenance and liter the vehicle and that too ADV is better to do all the advance road stunts. With an SW 2024 the features have improved a lot and the idle vibration has reduced and the stalling has reduced too. The heat in KTM yes, but better grade oils can help a bit, still a quiet fans not as bad as 400x. But a very good touring and adventure vehicle. If you break the android display in the 450 its going to give you a good expenditure. ADV modules on the Him 450 will make it more heavy. it is a cross between a Tiger and an Xpulse. Not a fan of the ergonomics of the 450. instead i would go for a 250 enduro or a honda 350 enduro. touring a cruiser bike like 650 Meteor would be a good choice.

There is a solid reason why he did not include the Vstrom 250 sx. The Vstrom 250sx is not even close to any of these three motorcycles. The Vstrom 250sx produce only 26 horsepower and 22 nm of torque, whereas the other three make 40 and more hp and 37 and more nm of torque. Not only that the suspension travel of the Vstrom 250sx is just 120mm, which is very less compared to the other three and very little for an adventure motorcycle. The R15, which is basically a sport bike has a better suspension travel of 130mm than the Vstrom 250sx. Instead of providing switchable ABS to the Vstrom 250sx, Suzuki gave Bluetooth connectivity, which is nothing but a marketing gimmick. The Vstrom 250sx does not deserve to be termed an adventure motorcycle because it just a Gixxer 250 with upright seating position. That's it.
