It’s interesting to see that the dB didn’t increase much. From what I read the increase of one dB is actually pretty significant. Great video!

Yeah, funky free app combined with cheap ars phone lol. Every 3db is a doubling of power... Could you of imagined Arrowhead at 142.2???? Crazy! Stay safe!

Three peat in 2024. My versca came with early screaming eagles. I wouldn't change that tuned race sound. Then H.D. purchased the S.E.company. Vance & Hines.pipes decent.

when I had straight pipes on her, it sounded like was I ready for Nascar lol...but it was just toooo, ear piercing for long rides. (and yep, 3 peat...this team, from staff, to players, is built for it)..and mahomes of course haha

One of my buddies had a Suzuki c50 and he just punctured the two baffle in that Center hole with a steel water pipe and hammer. Made a huge difference.

As you mentioned in one of the comments, a 3dB increase doubles the sound. A 10dB increase tenfolds the sound. This a steep line up, where our ears can sense much smaller increments. Although the numbers on your (lousy) phone app appear to be the same, they are rounded up or down. You'd need to got several decimals further to see the change. Your ears did notice that change. And that's what counts. I'll be drilling shortly too. Thanks for your videos, Bob.

Thanks for the input! I've since found some other apps to try, and I'll be using them on the drilling out of my 2018 Heritage Classic stock exhaust...video to follow, so stay tuned!

and, forgot to say, I am loving the sound of the Vrod exhaust now! Definitely has a more muscle car sound, without being ear piercing lol

Sounds Good but I think the App was faulty (it didn't climb when you revved the engine).

I agree! It's like it has a cutoff... Maybe a limitation of the mic in the phone? Could be, after all, I am an audio engineer...NOT lol. Stay safe!

Your decibels meter didn't go up when you revved it but the sound did. So I don't think the meter is accurate. Just use your ears when you're out riding.
