Intetesting , I would make no distinction ,one painting shows à landscape and the other one squares. Both are réalistic.

I agree! Thank you. That was the point I was trying to make. Both could be real and both could be abstract. It's a matter of how each of us would define these two (ambiguous) terms.
What is real? The mystery of it is in your mind.
