Je trouve que tu expliques super bien. Notamment pour la faute de Shakira sur le verbe "recevoir", tu as très bien expliqué, je n'aurais jamais compris que c'est parce que c'était un verbe irrégulier. C'est super de savoir expliquer comme tu le fais, tes élèves ont de la chance, et tu m'as tellement capitvée que j'ai regardé la vidéo en entier et j'ai laissé un commentaire 😂👏👏

Exactement la même. L’algorithme KZread est vraiment particulier par moment... Mais bon, j'ai aussi regardé jusqu'au bout et le constat est le même, les explications sont bonnes et les exemples plutôt parlants, du beau boulot 👋. P.S. : Et accessoirement c'est toujours gratifiant de voir des célébrités manier le français avec autant d'aisance (en tout cas bien plus que moi en anglais 😕)

I haven't heard this much French since 2008. I'm surprised I still understood about 80% of the words and 85% of the context of this video. It's probably because you speak slow enough to easily hear every word. Thank you! I feel a bit more motivated to refresh my French, even though I will never use it.

Man, you're lucky you are in France at least people are speaking french mostly. iam african in kenya, (official language: English). did french at O levels (1969). had not much luck over the years to upgrade. can speak little understand when polished teachers like Elisa teach, still trying to learn more coz I love French for some reason or other...vas-y alors, Dina vas-y

This will definetely happen to me, when I'm going to France with my Partner next year. Somehow I already managed to do that the other way round in Belgium. I've had French for several years in school but wasn't good at it and during my studies I went to Brussel for a Demonstration by train and in Brussel I asked a person who works there if they have a map "de transporte public" 🙂.

I went to eastern Québec and read off the menu at Tim Hortons. The french woman looked at me like I was an alien from outter space speaking a moon man language. In the end I got my ham and cheese sandwich on brown bread. She no doubt told her coworkers and family and friends some dude from USA came in and couldn't speak French. Even though I am from Ontario, but it is basically the same English English English a bit of spanish, some chinese.... Plus now a bunch of Punjabis

my partner's first language is french but he moved to the US when he was 14, so when he's talking to his dad, he throws in quite a few english words because either he forgets or because it's a technical sort of word that he wouldn't have learned haha

I do that too, even tough i'm french lol, sometimes i forget words in my own language...

If I can be honest, I find it extraordinary that anyone can speak multiple languages. I am struggling so much right now. I moved to France from the US 11 months ago. I am 62 and I only know English. So, when I see these people COMPREHENDING and speaking so well, it is extraordinary… to me. I hope that I will comprehend oral after 3 years but that seems unlikely. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and helping the rest of us.

Every monolingual will struggle to learn the first foreign language. You excell others areas that polyglots don't. I am rubbist at maths. You need to be motivated, in spite of all obstacles. You can learn French, but you have to want to learn the language. What I am trying to say is you have to pull your socks up and sacrifice a bit of your free time every single day. You can achieve amazing goals if you put all your efforts and time to learn French for two hours daily. In one year, you will have studied French for 730 hours. That is a lot of hours. You will certainly hit the B1 ( intermediate level) if you study 2 hours daily.

Je suis Américain et je suis très fier de notre Secrétaire d'Etat (chef de la diplomatie américaine) Antony Blinken qui parle français si bien, presque parfaitement en fait. Il a fait ses études en France je crois. Bien qu'il ne soit ni vedette de cinéma ni chanteur je trouve que cela vaudrait la peine d'analyser son français dans une prochaine vidéo.

@@frogface8787 Ça ne suffit pas toujours, on sous-estime la difficulté phonétique (l'écoute, et la la prononciation) dans l'apprentissage en France. Peu gardent leur accent ou la "bonne" prononciation On est français et quand on voit beaucoup parler espagnol avec un fort accent... alors que notre langue est proche de l'espagnol ! Donc je crois qu'on devrait se faire petit en France sur ce sujet-là

I've never understood judging others over foreign language skills. I'm impressed by anybody who can make themselves understood in a language they didn't grow up speaking - whether it's flawless or "broken". At least they're making an effort.

Indeed. I've worked at an international airport for years and anyone who is brave enough to use what little English they know deserves a medal. I've been trying to learn French for 3 years and have, at best, survival French. I am terrible at understanding what is spoken back to me. I can get my point across, usually, but my grammar is appalling. It takes real knowledge to not simply translate English sentence structure.

I stumbled across your video by accident and I really enjoyed it. I studied French in school many years ago but forgot most of it and I was shocked that I understood almost everything you said without reading the subtitles. THANK YOU for speaking so clearly and making it so easy to understand you. You’re amazing!

I appreciate how slowly you speak and how specifically you enunciate. It's been over 20 years since, I studied French or used it conversationally and I was able to follow the video and understand most of what you said. I had Spanish in elementary school, but switched to French in high school (I’m from Norway) and while it has helped a bit because of their similarities, the pronunciation always messes me up. For instance “que” has been hard to get used to in French. And sometimes I will say Spanish words when I try to speak French😂

Du contenu de qualité comme d'habitude, Elisa, continues comme ça ! J'aime bien ce format de vidéo, il est vachement important que les gens qui apprennent le français (ou n'importe quelle autre langue, d'ailleurs) prennent conscience du fait que faire des erreurs, c'est bien normal. ça peut être facile de baisser les bras quand on n'arrive pas à tenir une conversation sans faire des erreurs, mais le plus important est de se focaliser sur la communication. J'irais même jusqu'à dire qu'il est important qu'on fasse des erreurs de temps en temps, c'est une indication qu'on essaie de pousser son niveau au delà de sa zone de confort !

Je suis un Francophone natif, je vais corriger quelques-unes de tes phrases : "continue* comme ça" ( pas de "s" aux verbes en -ER à la 2ème personne du singulier à l'impératif ) "sans faire d*'erreurs" ( négation, "des" devient "d' " ) "J'irai*" ( futur simple et non le conditionnel )

Les hispanophones avons le même problème : OU - U on fait également le son U de l'espagnol. C'est la même chose pour E- ES- AI on fait le son de notre E . Ça m'a pris 10 ans, des études en France, un mariage, 2 filles, pour comprendre la différence. Je suis mexicaine, je suis mariée avec un français donc mes filles sont franco-mexicaines

Funny, I found this video and one before it and thought "wow, I didn't expect to understand any of this, let alone all of it", French having been my worst language at school by far and me dropping it after 2 years (which was 14 years ago). Figured maybe I should brush up on it. Then you mentioned irregular verbs. Maybe I'll be back once I've recovered from my PTSD 😅

I just found out about this channel and man you've no idea how much appreciative I am of this fact, I'm Moroccan and my career here kinda depends on acquiring French language which I frankly have always found very difficult to learn compared to English which as you can see from this comment I speak fluently, I will make sure to watch every video of yours if they're all educative like this, thank you so much and keep it up !

"du miel pour mes oreilles" je ne sais pas si c'est très courant comme expression mais je l'aime beaucoup. You can translate by "sweet to my ears" Pour Johnny Depp il aurait pu dire aussi "c'est un film cher à mon cœur" non ? Je ne sais pas si c'est très Français (je suis Français pourtant) haha Corrigez moi si je me trompe :)

Je pense que "cher à mon coeur" est en effet plus proche de ce qu'il a cherché à exprimer. La différence avec "me tient à coeur" est subtile, c'est vrai. 😅

Il a littéralement traduit l'expression "close to my heart" qui peut prendre beaucoup de formes en Français selon le contexte, généralement entre "tenir à coeur" et "prendre à coeur" (tu peux prendre quelque chose à coeur sans que ça te tienne à coeur mais si quelque chose te tient à coeur c'est que tu l'as déjà probablement pris à coeur). C'est un film (qui est) cher à mon coeur. Oui c'est Français et c'est effectivement la traduction la plus proche de l'Anglais, la différence est qu'en Anglais c'est très très naturel et qu'en Français c'est souvent quand on s'exprime de manière noble ou théâtrale, pour nous, j'imagine que ça semble beaucoup plus naturel d'entendre "tenir à coeur", encore qu'on préfère souvent l'exprimer différemment avec des mots différents, mais c'est de toutes façons des synonymes

Je suis japonaise qui apprend le français mais qui peux parler assez couramment en anglais et du coup je parle en français en traduisant l'anglais dans ma tête très souvent. Cette vidéo aide beaucoup beaucoup de gens comme moi! Bravo! J'ai décidé de suivre cette channel!

Dans le même genre, il me semble qu'Emma Thompson fait le doublage français de ses rôles.

Je suis Algérienne et j’ai étudié la langue française pendant 7 ans et l’anglaise pour uniquement 5 ans, mais je suis pas vraiment capable de parler ou même d’écrire en français a cause de ma concentration en Anglais 😅 J’ai décidé de commencer à regarder des vidéos etc en français pour me rattraper et ta chaîne est vraiment parfaite pour ça 😊❤

A la place de « pour » au début de ton message tu peux dire « pendant ». Je ne veux pas du tout critiquer c’est juste pour t’aider puisque tu dis que tu apprends le français. Bonne journée 😁

J’ai appris Français pendant cinq ans en école mais j’ai oublié beaucoup parce que je ne l’utilise pas. Je vais essayer de voir ton vidéo avec seulement l’audio. Wow French is hard. I know I made grammatical errors and I had to restructure my sentences to only use words I know. I’m kind of sad that I’ve let my French slide but at the same time I’m kind of excited that I still understand a lot.

I don't know if it's rude but I will tell what I saw which can be corrected !: - J'ai appris "le" français (You need to put an article because it's a commun noun) - "ta vidéo" and not "ton vidéo" ^^ It's hard but I suppose the only way to know the genre of words, is to learn them "par coeur" or "sur le bout des doigts" ! (I use two expressions hope it can help you !)

Bradley cooper c’est notoire qu’il parle super bien français 👌. J’aimerai trop parler aussi bien anglais qu’il parle français! C’est impressionnant la fluidité avec laquelle il parle! 😱
