How does the xr plus or xr black compared to Rayno s9? Any difference in color hue?

I just did my range rover with the lumar stratos all around 70% and the blue is only slightly noticeable, i like it now but I wished i would have found someone that had that xpel 70% i do like how its basically invisible.

What about 3m cs series

Hi expert. I am using Vkool Premier for windscreen with Visible Light Transmittance 73%. I feel that it does not block much heat as their spec. Xpel XRplus 70 or Llumar Stratos 70 is better in blocking heat? Thanks

​@@wind303 .. i have seen them.. Their Xenith ceramic tint specs look very good. Very close to the Xpel numbers. Haven't seen any reviews though.

What's better between pinnacle and xr prime (not plus)? I think pinnacle has higher ir rejection?

Xpel XR Black Ceramic rejects up to 89% Infrared heat (85% on average). People like the XR Black color better due to Pinnacle have a brownish look to it.

Currently set on XR black on all windows and Plus for the windshield. Would like your opinion on the stratos. Thanks.

We were having a few minor problems with FlexFilm

Nice comparison! I want to tint my moonroof/sunroof. I was told to go with a metallic tint for it since it is always going to be hit by sunlight. The explanation to me was because ceramic actually does absorb heat instead of reflecting them even if it has more heat rejection. For something that is on the roof, I was told I would want something that can reflect heat better. Is that correct? Can you advise? Thank you

Depends on the vehicle. Most sunroofs are already smoked at 15% and absorbing a lot of heat no matter what you put on it. Year and model?

@@tintmanfl It is a 2020 Toyota Rav4 XLE. I did notice it does have sort of a tint on it. Also want to do it on a 2019 Honda Pilot EX-L model. The Pilot I notice has less tint hue on it. Thanks again!

Xpel has two ceramic films. XR Black Ceramic which is a rich black color and XR Plus Super Ceramic (ceramic is blue by nature) which has a blue hue to it.

Why does Xpel XR Plus look blue all the way until 70, meanwhile Stratos looks charcoal until 70. Then they completely flip. I don't get it...why can't they all be the same.

Ceramic is blue. So the more ceramic and less coloring from carbon or dye the bluer it is.

So if I wanted 70% of either XR Plus or Stratos on the front 2 windows, and 50% of the same brand on the back windows, would it look uneven? Like blue/charcoal, or charcoal/blue (depending on which brand we're talking). If so, would it be more logical to pair XR Plus 70 for the fronts with Stratos 50 for the rears? That way everything looks charcoal. Or vice versa if I wanted to make everything look blue. Does that make sense?? Haha, thanks! (My goal is maximum heat rejection with minimal darkness, and nothing on the windshield)

@@tintmanfl Thanks, by the way, this video was extremely helpful. So glad I found it. How does 3M crystalline 70% compare to the Xpel XR Plus 70 in terms of blueness? I haven't found a comparison of that yet.

@@jr.sciencebros.8411 I have the 3M crystalline 70 installed on my Model y. They are pretty dam blue. I regret it the day I got it. Thinking about removing it and replacing with Xpel XR plus. I did go to a shop to check out the xpel 70. It looks less blue.

X-pel isn't listed in ANY review of window tints and it beats every one I have seen in my search for not only 'tint' but 'heat rejection'. Thank YOU for the clear review.

Doesn't 3M Crystalline beat those numbers?

Crystalline doesn't come in the traditional 30/15 black like Xpel does. The darkest you can legally do in FL that 3M Crystalline comes in would be 40/20. Crystalline rejects up 97% IR. XR plus rejects up to 98% IR.

Plus crystalline has a funky color and looks extremely "grainy" to me on windshields.

Be aware of the VLT when comparing these products such as the 15 tints. The Xpel 15 tint is really a 12% tint where the Llumar 15 is really 17% tint for visible light transmitted, hence why it doesn't do as well when directly compared. A more accurate comparison is the Xpel 20 vs the Stratos 15, because their VLT is 18% and 17% respectively

​@@ssamanta72 Cliff notes is all major brands perform the same, since they're using the same technology (ceramics). What matters most is the tint hue (how it looks, more blue/black/brown), install cost, and installer quality. Llumar Stratos, Xpel Black, and 3M CR are all similar quality films. I believe the Black and Stratos are lower cost than the 3M. Stratos 70 is 69% VLT with 49% Total Heat Rejection: llumar.com/content/dam/eastman/performance-films/llumar/nar/documents/english/auto/formulaone-window-film-performance-data.pdf Xpel Black 70 is 66% VLT 49% Total Heat Rejection www.xpel.com/web-assets/downloads/XPEL-PRIME-Spec-Sheet-USA-V2-1.pdf 3M CR70 is 58% VLT (So really should be named CR60!!) but has 55% heat rejection. Yes, it's put together in America. However, the material comes from Asia as well as other parts of the world. It is written on their boxes.
