The reason I didn’t buy the game is because they didn’t have the ref in the ring while they are fighting. Fight night champion had this and is still the best boxing game of all time.

The real problem here is that it’s a boxing game and it seems like the actual punches are the worst looking aspect of the game. EA could simply remaster Champion and add in new fighters and the game would be better.

I disagree, the graphics could be better when it comes, to the boxers looking like they are suppose to be this to be improved upon fast.

Its wroth it stop haiting u playing a beta have respect for them bringing boxing game ppl in the comments who hate this game

Game is ass cheeks

The punches feel like they have no power behind them. They are like the punches you throw in a dream. Punches are too powerful but not powerful enough. You can punch dozens of times and land, nothing happens. Other times, a couple of punches will get you KO'd. Power punches mean nothing. Over hand rights simply do not throw properly. They are weird. It's so difficult to land your punches when your opponent is hurt. They hardly connect. When your opponent is hurt, how many times do you miss by swinging? You can't even calculate this properly and manoeuvre to the right position. It's just impossible to land. It's hard to land punches when you are trying to move round the ring. The speed between feinting and punching is too slow. What is the point in trying to adopt a bob and weave style or peekaboo? You can't. It just doesn't work. You can't knock an opponent out and keep them on the ground. They get up a minimum of 4 times before being out cold. Your character however, cannot get past the 2nd get up. Stamina decreases way too fast. Your opponents hardly goes down at all. Load screens take way too long. It's usually a 2 minute wait, up to 4 - 5 minutes. On career mode this is worse, only for the fight to end within a couple of minutes. Your character is too vulnerable on career mode. You can get KO'd after a couple of punches. Career mode: if you want to be fight sharp and on weight, then you will age very quickly. It takes far too long to get into prime condition. I aged a whole year after simulating. Cancelling punches after throwing is tricky or near enough impossible. It would be great to be able to do this. Especially after knocking down an opponent, looks so stupid to be throwing combinations after you have already knocked down someone. The most crucial thing that gets me is the fighting itself..the punching. What is up with it? The power punches look the most natural in terms of how they swing. The normal punches are punches from your dreams, and are thrown half way. They aren't thrown at full reach as they should be. The punches are terrible, especially the overhand rights. 4/10 There is no option for clinch punching or 'in fighting'. You can only fight at a distance. The game doesn't work for the style of many fighters.

These are all really valid points. The game definitely needs some polishing… I am excited for what it can be though. Hopefully it can be before release or not long after. It has the potential but it struggles with feeling rushed tbh

this isn’t a classic boxing game lol, it’s s simulation shit show like every other sports game today

It might not be for everyone but I quite enjoyed it! Don’t forget it hasn’t even been fully released yet! Way more content to come! If at full release it still looks like it is now I’d be shocked!
