I'm not a boomer, but my phone has thought that me cursing at another driver was supposed to be a text and I laughed when seeing the transcript of my road rage. 🤣 Also, somehow my butt cheek is really good at unlocking my phone and calling one of my family members when I'm playing guitar with my band. My son-in-law played me the voicemail excerpt of one of our live performances. 😆

I just have to comment on Laura's fashion, particularly that slightly too small shirt that shows a bit of stomach but with the belly button hidden like we're in the era of I Dream of Genie. It's such an interesting combination of showing and not showing skin.

Yes, the intentionality and aggressive unsexiness of that ab window contains within it a strong cultural commentary, a "Missing Button Topic" if you will. The inversion of the feminine pyramid upwards evokes what should be a symbolic masculinity, but it takes a form in the clothing that no man would wear.

3:50 It’s an iMessage which can be sent to an email, so you might not have someone’s actual number but still be able to message them. This isn’t even necessarily a boomer message, it’s entirely possible they actually don’t have that persons number

I thought that was Laura Ramoso and it is! I also wear a size 11 shoe though I am not 6' to make it look like a normal size foot, unfortunately. Also Bot/Boomer is so relatable - my grandparents both died in the last year and they used to text me all of those things!! Great segment!

The bots are front ends for scammers. If the bot detects that it has a live sucker, it passes the session over to a human scammer. This allows the scammers to be more productive.

It's partly an FCC condition of broadcasting, and partly a corporate rule to avoid possible FCC fines.

I was born in the Boomer generation, but I was raised as Gen X, and I have been told that I act like a 1990's frat boy. I text my son to check his email and send him an email to call me and when he calls me I will answer, 'What do you want?" I have also intentionally texted him that he has left his phone home because I know it annoys his Millennial sensitivities. When I text his fiance that she has left her phone home and she will come back with it in her hand and look for it.
