It's not her success that poses a problem. It's the attitude that usually goes along with it. But then, don't go to work to be the supervisor, director, manager, or whatever, then come home and treat me like im one of your employees! NO MAN WORTH HIS SALT WANTS TO CROSS SWORDS WITH HIS WOMAN AFTER FIGHTING THE WORLD!!! You can yell, scream, and talk about it until you're blue in the face. Im with Kevin Samuels on this one. He has done more and seen more than this man here.

Our grandmother's and great-grandmothers have a lot of these young men confused. They think their grandmother's, who had no say, were* actually in agreement with their grandfather's. Yet, the way women act today is a reflection of the grandmother's rebellion against men. I've yet to come across a set of "modern" women who weren't guided by the "agreeable" "feminine" "meek" grandmother's to have your own, never depend on a man, and never keep your mouth shut. Women took on the positions they were given. Many were mistreated... now they stand on business and men are confused. Yall can't truly be this slow or out of touch with reality.

Some are though. You're laughing but you missed the point. There are feminine men and masculine. Masculine men don't want masculine women and feminine women don't want a feminine man. It's weird that we can't offer a critique of one side without saying the person doing the critique is weak or something. Some women that get accolades use them as a crutch for their value. We call it out. Having a PhD doesn't make you better woman when dating. Some men do the same. And women have been calling them out for years. Driving a BMW doesn't automatically make you a desirable person to date. The substance of the person was what matters. Stop using surface level papers and objects to prove your worth. Women are yelling from the rooftops that men are intimidated by them. And some men are. I think most men aren't though. So we have to keep the narrative accurate VS behaving as if there isn't a single woman out here who is indeed masculine.

@@sunofabobin truth there is nothing wrong with masculine women generally speaking. They are doing what must be done. By the end of the day it's all about choices and it seems men don't know how to choose the right women for themselves and decide to chase after women that are not their cup of tea☕. It's very simple math: once you find out she's masculine, and you prefer feminine, then just leave 🤷🏻‍♂️. It seems that men struggle at picking women of their own choices/preferance. No woman is forcing a man to stay with them

It's the very traits they acquired in order to obtain career success that spills over into the relationship that most men are referring to as being masculine. I don't think Tripp was fully transparent here. Seemed like he aligned with the usual "men are intimidated by successful women" line most of us hear these days. It is more related to the ways these women can come across to men. Whether it is how they communicate, respond/ react, or even resolve conflict. Most operate mainly or always in a masculine frame that naturally will clash with most men let alone masculine men.

Personality traits can be masculine or feminine. Everybody has elements of both. We say a person is more masculine when they exhibit more of the personality traits associated with masculinity and the reverse is true for the feminine pole.

I’ve seen a lot of videos where men speak on the masculine woman and tbh just from the videos I’ve seen, most almost always spoke to the character of the woman after she obtained said success. They weren’t upset with her success but to Tripps second point, they were caught in the character traits she may have displayed. I just think some men are not articulate enough to say that second part so it gets misconstrued as if they are saying they don’t like a successful woman.

I agree and disagree with him. Who wants to date a woman coming off with traits like he described? It's tough having a bad day and then coming home to the same mess when your person is supposed to be your peace. Stop giving people an out when they clearly need to resolve some issues within themselves. No one wants to date any masculine/extra traits that's going to get them out of character or any masculine mindset person / successful person that's going cheat on them. Just try and act like adults and choose the right person.

I’d disagree with that. Men are naturally more disagreeable than women. It’s one of the biggest psychological differences between men and women we can measure. It is a more masculine trait and we can all identify that in a woman and understand in that context why she would be called more masculine. If the success or pursuit of success is what bothers some men they just ain’t shit but we have to acknowledge and many women admit to this that in their pursuit of success they often lose their softness and adapt masculine qualities so I can see why those things get correlated together.

I understand what he said and agree in part. There are women who have characteristics that are commonly distinctive of the male gender. In addition to temperamental traits, these women sometimes even present physiological characteristics such as a more serious voice, a checkered shape of the jaw, very extended shoulders, in addition, of course, to the combative attitude associated with assertiveness, extreme disagreement of opinion and the need to control (lead , if you prefer) relationships and the work environment. While I agree that there are men who are simply weak and envious, I must also recognize that there are, in fact, masculine women. In the same way that it is unpleasant for a heterosexual woman to have a relationship with a feminized man, it is unpleasant for a man to have a relationship with a masculine woman.

Love Trip but going to have to disagree with part of this. He is right, any man who calls a woman masculine because she is doing better than him is a punk. However, we cannot take traits generally associated with a man, give them to a woman and not say she has masculine traits. Masculine and feminine traits are all personality traits. I have a successful woman and she is still nurturing, easy to have conversation, and brings those traits to the relationship that I am lacking. It's about balance. If she brings the same traits he does then there is nothing beneficial to either person in the relationship. It's the blend of masculine and feminine traits that make relationships work. IMHO.

The fact that people believe that these qualities are gender specific is the problem. You have the capacity to be more, always. Its okay to be a whole person. Who you can be and who youre conditioned to be are two completely different people. You get to choose.

But that’s my point exactly. We all have different traits. We take the labels and make them mean something that they don’t. Just because someone has traits typically associated with the opposite sex does not make them bad. They are who they are. I just think that two people with identical traits tend to have more issues in a relationship than those with a good mix. It doesn’t matter who brings what. If she’s masculine or he’s feminine that’s fine. Remember you are not for everybody. Find that person that works for you. Just understand that certain traits on either side will make your pool of candidates smaller and dating more difficult.

I respect this intelligent young brother. However, this take has Simp energy: Being disagreeable and hard to talk to is the flip side of being leader and a provider. These are indeed, masculine traits. It’s not the leader and provider’s job to be agreeable and easy to talk to. That’s the woman’s. You can’t have two alphas in the same house. So, my point about “Simp energy,”is that he is calling out men who dislike these women, and yet the men are expected to have them.

This has nothing to do with reality. This is part of the 20% of his answers that are pandering to the women in the audience. Men don't call women masculine for being successful. They call them masculine for acting like a man. And, yes, that exactly means displaying "personality traits" that are traditionally associated with masculinity. Nobody cares if run your own business. They care if you're trying to run the relationship, whether you run a business or not. Literally everything out of his mouth here was either nonsense (saying personality traits aren't gendered) or make believe (agreeing men are calling women masculine because they are successful, rather than because of the personality they developed in order to gain that success). Which is a shame, because when he's not pandering he typically drops gems.

This is dumb considering that many high achieving professional women are admitting themselves that they have a hard time being feminine after "having" to be in a masculine role all day.
