Is THIS The Shortest Stem In The Pro Peloton? Alaphilippe's 2023 Tour de France Bike

Спорт

A closer look at the Specialized S-Works Tarmac Sl7 of Julian Alaphilippe that he's riding at the 2023 Tour de France. There's plenty to look at and potentially copy such as the older generation Roval Rapide CLX wheels, aluminium handlebars and tube-type tyres.

    This bike was really easy to assemble kzread.infoUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA and required very few adjustments out of the box. The wheels did not require any truing/adjustments. The frame had some small scratches, but nothing major.I did replace the seat though - the seat it came with was very uncomfortable. The tires need to be re-inflated every 4-5 days, but this appears to be quite common for the narrow 700x25 tires.Overall, in my opinion, this bike looks and rides like a much more expensive bike.

    "I choose to use waxed chain in the summer and have found to be less good in the wet" Huh? From what I've read online the reverse is true. Where you want to use it in the wet since it being waxed means that it gets less grime on it since that the most grime comes after a wet spell meanwhile in the heat your wax can melt off your chain.

  • @roadcc

    @roadcc

    Most brands recommend reapplying wax at 200 miles and less in wet conditions, that means it could last just one ride...personally I'll stick to a good wet lube that offers better corrosion resistance, there's certainly a time and place for wax just depends how much time you're prepared to sacrifice!
