People forget how absolutely dominant Virtus Pro was in 2017-2018 with Ramzes,NoOne, 9pasha, Rodjer, Solo. Only because they didn't win TI. They owned everything just like Wings did in TI2016 but for a longer time.

True. That team was insane. TI7 was one of the best TIs. I never forget how virtus pro won BTS tournament and they didnt pick any hero twice in the whole tournament! Was just a next level of insanity. Somehow Liquid 2017 have beaten that legendary VP line up

TI8 LGD was also legendary (xnova, fy, chalice, somnus, ame). This was just the only team who can fight toe-to-toe with arguably the best dota 2 roster of all time, TI8-TI9 OG. If they were just not cocky maybe they would had given China another aegis. TI4 DK and TI3 Orange were also legendary. Ti4 Cloud9 and Ti5 EG are also often forgotten.

No way 2017 Team Liquid was not included here. Wide hero pool. Great players across the board. Gave the first TI Finals sweep. Probably the greatest collection of individual talents that actually worked.

The 2018-2019 OG roster is still the GOAT for now. Remember we are talking about roster, not team. Tundra has a different roster now, sadly because of Saksa's health issues. Similar to Spirit without TorontoTokyo. So if we are talking about the cohesion, team work, and consistency of 5 players on the same team, OG is still peak Dota, again, for now.

2017 team liquid was the first team that won ti finals for 3-0❤

2018 OG was there in person watching the whole thing was unreal. True Cinderella story.

Wings gaming was doing all hero challenge. The opposition literally have no idea what to ban because those guys pick from a freaking hero ocean of choices goodness

What people cannot understand is that the only time the devs stepped in to actually nerf a TEAM is Alliance. If Alliance didnt exist Dota2 would be something completely different right now. Their playstyle was 100 years ahead of others. They understood the game in a completely different way other people and teams did. And they won every single time. Lvl 1 roshans , split pushing, lane cutting, force staff strats, jungle strats, offlane getting a completely different role in the game. Backdoor protection, glyph, necronomicon out of the game, tower health, tower armour protection is all because of Alliance. THEY CHANGED THE WAY WE THINK OF THE GAME RIGHT NOW!!! Strats that are now taken for granted Alliance invented them.

It's true, but that was a long time ago man. Whatever Alliance did doesn't hold a candle to OG's achievements at least. But yeah, Alliance basically invented ratting. And its far from the only time man. Many teams have broken Dota. In fact it happens almost every year at TI.

DK 2014 is the perfect example of an absolute ALL-STAR team completely failing to understand the meta. In terms of raw skill in relation to the general skill level of the pro-scene, this likely was the best team of all times. But unfortunately, they lacked innovation and adaptability and thankfully Dota is not purely based on individual skill but also on all these other factors. Had they understand that Tinker and AM are too slow for the fast paced meta of that time, who knows what could've happened. Fully agree, though, best team to never win TI for sure.

@@sosmodarfnnf9480 looking back, you could say they were all-stars but at that point, they certainly weren't. While Notail became the legend and fly has had huge success with him in the first iterations of OG, back in that time they were relatively fresh, albeit talented players. They had some good results as fnatic EU, but never really won a Tier 1 tournament in Dota 2. If you want to add a Team Secret All-Star Roster, I'd go with the one from 2015 that added Zai and RTZ to an already great Squad and proceeded to win four Tier 1 tournaments in a row before "failing" at TI 5.

Where's TeamSpirit? They did a Cinderella run at ti10 lol

Glad this video has sense. OG did what no team ever did before. The best teams win. In dota, TI is all that matters. Creative and fun. Also not enough credit to Ceb and Notail as players, winning trophies in different roles at the highest level.

As long as OG are the only squad that's won 2 TI's and back 2 back at that, there's no argument to be had imo.

it's going to be a debate between TI6 wings and TI8/9 OG for sure. without TI winner on the resume, I'm not sure how exactly secret got on the list. I don't think this is fair for other TI winners. TI7 Liquid, TI10 Team Spirit and TI11 Tundra are all better teams

I think their consistency over the years under a single captain makes a good argument for them being there, but I agree, this list lacks some teams. It looks like Spirit might have a repeat this year, which would definitely change the equation as well

If I'm not mistaken, I believe I saw a snippet of an interview or video before of n0tail saying that if there's one team that could beat OG, it's Wings.

OG is the GOAT team. But you cant deny Team Spirit has the potential to dethrone them. Setting aside our biases. Team Spirit is still going strong with minimal changes from their last TI winning team exchanging Torontotokyo for Larl. They have the most chemistry so far out of all teams that is currently playing, and you can also argue that they have the best players on their respective roles. Hell, I can just mention Yatoro in this paragraph and that's the only context you need.

Also to add. It's really scary to play against them when there's a large prize pool. They just have that aura unlike any other team in the History. Dont get me wrong, I was a big fan of OG and I believe they are the best team ever. But you cant deny Team spirits Dominance too since their TI10 Champion winning Debut.

But they couldn’t do it with Torontotokyo again in the following year. OG did it again with the same roster in a different patch/meta and even came back more dominant in that TI. That’s why that OG team will always be better than Team Spirit.

OG’s TI achievements are undeniable but if we talk about pure strength and dominance at a certain period of time then they are not even close. VP, Secret, Team Spirit and LGD gives off that aura.

@@thaypichoudom8241 one theory i think because they won the majors. They have more games so other teams can analyze their playstyle more. So literally it can be a ti disadvantage if you won multiple majors because you can be cracked. I wont deny that ti has a different atmosphere, but i think winning majors is a factor too. Just look at vp. When enemy team smokes solo would literally go and tank the smoke. Their deep wards also revolutionized the game. This was adapted/countered by other teams

“the best team”I would give to ti8-ti9 OG, their chemistry is in another level. "The Strongest team in TI" i have to mention TI2 ig, they have both strategies in draft and decisions and player's mechanic.

Wings is phenomenal but they were not better all time than alliance or psg.lgd Alliance is invincible in 2013 until valve nerf all their strat. Alliance change the game unlike any other team

Since Team Spirit won their 2nd ti and 4 of their 5 members won the 2nd time, the OG fans reasoning for them being the GOAT team and Ceb or Notail being the goat is now put to the dumpster "since 2 time ti champs will never happen again" crap Navi was the best consistent team for 3 years straight Alliance has the best single year among all teams it ain't just about the 1 tournament, but how many you won across the board

There aint even a debate on OGs case, best team all time with 2 Aegis to back it up going back to back with the same players in 2 TIs in a row, that itself is hard to do. They literally showed us they can both play fast and late lol also probably the most unstoppable team when they hit their timing, haven't drop a single series the whole TI9. Great chemistry overall hands down.

I think the reason why GG was special mentioned because it’s the same roster who won many majors in the same dpc season unlike spirit it’s not the same roster anymore.

They defeated ti8 vp (yep the best vp roster), defending champions liquid (with matumbaman and miracle), and eg (which got 3rd place in that ti). Fy and somnus were in top form. xnova being one of the best warding support ive seen, rising star ame, and stable chalice. Fy's shaker only lost 1 game in the entire tournament and that was in the grand finals. Props also to og for being undefeatable during that ti and the next. Lgd deserved that aegis. But winning ti is earned not deserved.

@@betsan5832 personally i think ti8 was harder than now. There are a lot of good teams now but i find it odd that valve gave more slots to SA. Not that it is bad, but weu and cn deserved more slots at least. And also for me, beating miracle-matumbaman liquid and best roster vp is harder than todays liquid, tundra, and team spirit. But different meta and different players so idk ahhaha. If they destroy team spirit and liquid in dominating fashion maybe ill change my mind.

Best team imo was Wings, PSG.LGD, non TI Secret. New OG only good in single dedicated tournament imo. Even OG with Miracle was better than the Topson's

I dont think u know how good alliance was then. They literally invented rat dota and revolutionized the roles. Their real carry was bulldog (offlane), their real offlane or playmaker was s4 (mid), and loda was the mixture of both. They only lost 2 games in the entire tournament and that was against navi i think in the grand finals.
