You are in the last month of your pregnancy and you experience true contractions that are less than 5 minutes apart and are intense, but they go on forever! Then labor stops, then it starts again. This goes on for a few hours, days, or weeks! What is this? It is prodromal labor (also known as false labor or pre-labor).
It is NOT active labor because there is no cervical change (the contractions aren't all stronger, longer, AND closer together).
Maybe you aren’t completely suffering through these contractions, but prodromal labor is overwhelming, discouraging, and exhausting.

I find this interesting, I have this exactly except for the fact that I do dilate.
I’m dealing with prodromal labor right now at 38 weeks. They’re every 2-3 minutes and happening for 2 minutes. I’ve been dealing with this for nearly 48 hours and I haven’t slept for more than 10 hours.

That's the same as me with the 2-3 mins and 2 mins long.

@@Missj4eva listen to your body. I knew I was in labor and I was. After being in labor for 2 days I gave birth on Sunday (01/10/2021). goodluck!
I labored for 94 hours at the hospital. I was exhausted.
I'm 38 weeks and 5cm dilated and only having prodromal contractions. It's so frustrating 😫

But your 5cm, so it did change your cervix, didn’t it ?
I've had 3 episodes of them so far... at 32, 33 and 35 weeks consistent for 2 minutes. Smh... im 36 weeks and so over it.
This happened to me while being induced. It was heart breaking to have yo be induced and then 48 hours later only being dilated to 4 and having to get pitocin increased
