I've only ever heard "gets under your skin" to mean something irritating and the dictionary even uses voice as an example. The dictionary states - get under (one's) skin 1. To become a source of irritation. I just can't stand Dean's voice, so everything he says gets under my skin.

That’s where we are. Still, in 2022. Some friends of ours son is the same, a bit older, and he’s been asked if he’s transitioning, before simply being a boy with long hair. So yes. Relevant song. At 5:37 that breakdown you show sounds like the start to Boys Don't Cry. Or am I just hearing things, as my ear is not as tuned as yours? When I was a drummer, I always hit my crash behind my head too 🙂. Where else would it be? Although, at the first show I ever played, at a house party, 2 days after sitting behind a kit for the first time and learning the songs, my floor tom slid behind me as we played because of a terrible rug on the floor, and you just have to go with it. My stage fright was so bad , but I just had to laugh. Ah ....early 90s memories! Thanks, you always seem to bring me back good memories.

Today I needed motivation to continue my workout. Fortunately, I had downloaded I Believe in a Thing Called Love, and sang loudly, powering through my sit-ups. Also, I smiled thinking of this channel, so thank you!

finally Placebo talk here on this channel 🤘🏽. I’ve actually occasionally commented on a couple of previous videos and “voted” for the band’s stuff to be the subject in the future along with other viewers. now i hope that this video will lead into reviewing some of the newest output, ‘cause the latest album turned out to be reeeaally good. find it to remain in my “rotation” quite often since it was released in March and have the potential to be one of my personal favourites of all discography alongside with Sleeping With Ghosts, Without You I’m Nothing and other classics.

Placebo are a brilliant live band, can’t wait to see them again in Brighton next month. Think they’re great musicians as well as song writers 👏🏼

I think Placebo are alright 9 out of 10 times you see them live. HOWEVER, if you see them that 1 out of 10 when Brian is fully connected, you'll probably see one of the best live acts in your life.

I was 16/17 when this came out, about the same time I did. Appreciated that it gave us queer folk a license to love Rock in what was that very "laddish" time.

Justin, I love your channel and I'm so glad I found it. I've been turned on to several bands. I was wondering, how much do you study the songs songs before breaking them down and doing a video on them?

Can't wait to see them in Paris next week ! I love this band for years now thanks to my older sister. The last time I saw them was for their anniversary tour in 2016... Although I really started to listen to them with Battle for the Sun, one of my favorite albums is still the first one. So young, fresh, full of anger and love. I think my favorite song of this album is 36 degrees :)

Brian Molko has one of my favorite voices ever. Together with Freddie Mercury, David Bowie, George Michael, Chirs Corner, Billy Corgan, Brian Aubert, Adam Lambert, and of course, Justin Hawkins.

Justin, two wee questions for comments day. You are a very dapper dresser (both on stage and in civi life) and have an admirable aesthetic appreciation of clothing and style. How has your personal style evolved over the years (on/off stage)? Secondly, where do you generally acquire your clobber? Tailor made? Vintage? Designer? Charity shops? M&S? Whatever, it’s all utterly glorious ❤ (she said, clad in Primark joggers, a Prince t-shirt, and a cardigan that fell apart years ago😂)
