Just give up. The combat system can be cool 1000x but if the staff and team behind the game sucks there is bo reason to put hope in it. Just give up guys. I have played 7k hours. The game still isn’t at a state it should have been in at release 🤦‍♂️ the dlc was not additional game content or gameplay it was barely bringing a game somewhat closer to a ready for release state…

So tired of new world players doing nothing but b*tch about everything. Todays announcement was clearly about showcasing the game to new players. its a LAUNCH trailer. keep your panties on and there will be plenty of reveals in the coming weeks about the changes coming for existing players.

This was only a console release announcement with an added "you PC guys can keep playing also" comment

I have not played new world in 9 months.. and they somehow found a way to make the game less appealing. RIP

If AGS thought this announcement was worth not providing any new content to PC players for months and expected PC players to not only wait but be excited for this announcement about consoles I don't know what to say. I logged on today, killed one rabbit, got every single reward, logged off. That's my month of new world done. I really do hope future changes will bring people back

Alpha* u start playing the beta with brimstone 💀 the game was released in alpha state. Non beta. Ask beta testers before launch they will confirm that.

Due to New World inactivity, I've recently switched back to Elder Scroll Online, a game I haven't played in years yet I'm max level and at end game since a long time. And I'm having a blast. It's incredible what a 10 years old game can achieve in term of new content creation, and all the possibilities for different gameplay it have (group, pvp, solo, etc.). I can't understand how a modern game like New World fails so much to deliver quality content when ESO / FF14 have no problem for it. At the very least,, NW should copy past greats ideas of these games (gear sets, solo arenas, infinite dungeons, etc.) and just copy past them. Even this would be awesome.

I think you're missing the point when you mention Realm Reborn, it was quite a turnaround, and so far at least we don't have a single piece of evidence that it's going to be that, we may even have evidence to the contrary with them renaming the game type to ARPG and no longer MMORPG. Today was a huge disrespect towards the players.

They are renaming the game to delete their overwhelming negative Steam review page. Did you watch the dev announcement video? Notice how they did not address PC players or existing game issues at all? If you have noticed the comment section on that video, the entire PC community feels completely betrayed. Everyone knows that AGS will never let those 10k sweaty PC players that never left the game play with the console players. It isn't going to happen. They are going to segregate the PC community and let them completely die on the vine, or we can basically delete our characters, equipment, gold and walk away from all our accomplishments to do yet another fresh start and get excited about doing the main story quest all over again. Then when we get to max level we can enjoy exicting end game activities like...outpost rush...and crafting...and a 3 boss raid! Oh, and got to wait 5 months even if you want to do that, so all your progress between now and then is worthless. The loyal PC community has been lied to by these devs for months. PC got thrown under the bus. They just want us all to quit. Well, wish granted. I immediately uninstalled. Not going to wait 5 months just to repeat the last 3 years. Time to look for a new job, bro. New World PC has been executed by corporate double-speak and a backstabbing dev team that literally hates their own players.

Based on the livestream what I understood was that New World servers will no longer have your characters locked to them and you can log on to others if your preferred one is full

About the pre order it does seem to be a free update if you already own angry earth and main game On steam: Adventurers who own New World (base game) and the Rise of the Angry Earth expansion on PC prior to the release of New World: Aeternum will receive a free update that includes all of the new content on October 15. Those that own the base game, but not the expansion will need to purchase the Rise of the Angry Earth to access the New World: Aeternum update at launch.

I wrote this on Jay Oddities video to but I feel compelled to reiterate. It seems to me like a soft relaunch similar to what ESO did. When they launched on console they changed the name to ESO unlimited, and changed up the way the game worked then too, scaling all zones to all levels. I personally will be trying this out on console. I played New World on PC last year and enjoyed it, never got sweaty with it but it was a good time, nowadays tho I only play on console so it seems perfect. I just need a good MMO, and everyone loves to hate this one but I’m sure theyd at least partly agree that the combat/ exploration/ gathering/ crafting (or any combination of) was good. Yes AGS has fumbled the games delivery, but there’s still meat on the stick!

Why don’t you talk about the official information that we have from the dev video and the official website? Not really a full deep dive

They should make the servers similar to how Oldschool Runescape's servers work. Anyone can join any server at any time (with player limit obviously) They should also make a pvp area like the wilderness in runescape, where anyone can attack anyone, and get whatever loot they have in their inventory. In addition to the pvp area, thjere should be some mobs, areas and bosses, where you could farm good gear, loot, etc. That way it would be a place both for pvp and pve players, but with higher risk of dying.

Hell yea pretty excited I'm a console player so this is dope.

How about sea server is it available?

Nice video! I believe we have already seen these enemies in the lower level areas but could be wrong! Sand worm also is outside anyways since launch? Just milling about. Dont think thats going to change! They also mentioned a raid already ^^ I think the bggest most important question we ALL have is is New World still going to exist as an MMORPG but just sharded on all system,s and PC or if itll be restricted. Still really confusing. Not sure why folx would assume this is free to play either because its more of a single player focused experience which they kept highlighting. New World name addition is so they can re brand it, I dont believe its because of the phrasing. Aeternum references a new beginning imo ^^ Also FF144 was a complete taking down and complete overhaul of the game. pretty different to this imo! Cheers again!

I am optimistic for the future. Excited for console release and potential new updates going forward with a newly rejuvenated playerbase!

This is the most incompetent dev team I ever saw. I need to apply for an AGS dev job. These guys do nothing and get paid (really well). Sounds great.

I can play with my console friends, maybe play on new crossplay only servers, bigger world cap, they are adding pvp zones or zone.. they will add 3 man difficulty dungeons/content. If done right I will come back as I always seem to for the big end of year update, haha.
