This is a cool knot and will make a better decorative feature. Will still use the diamond knot as a stopper. Have to try it out both ways which means more paracord. Thanks for the video.

As stated it’s a bit more complicated but does result in a more uniform and clean looking knot. Thanks for sharing.

I do agree with your comment, "it's A VERY much complicated knot but also "a much cleaner knot". It took me three tries!, In making it and once done?! I made the "diamond knot" and compared the two. There are some subtle differences between the two knots. But it does make a good stopper on a paracord bracelet.

Lol... I will admit, I am a lazy individual and have no problem defaulting to the diamond knot for that reason. 😁

Great knot. It's one of those knots that looks better than the diamond knot. Seems easy enough once you get the practice in. Great video as usual.

Ok, my thoughts for what its worth. I have been tying this one a bit over the last few days. Over the diamond knot it is a little more complicated to tie, and takes a bit more cordage to tie also, so I get left with a little more wastage. But on the clear positive side, I think it looks a little better, and I really like how I can shape the knot into a ball or a cylinder when dressing it. So I think I will use it quite often. Thanks for the tutorial.

It's very 2 strand matthew walker/sauvastika (double connection/sauvastika knot) in the tying. I looked at ABoK but didn't immediately see a Single Footrope Knot... Gave expanding on it a go by spiraling some more on the inside before forming the top diamond and spiraling down the faces... needs some work. 🤓

Took me just a short while to learn the diamond knot but think I could replicate it now by heart. This one looks a bit more complex but does look very nice. Does it use more string? Just spotted this video and am thiking of incorporating it at the end of a rock sling next time I get material.

Any foot rope knot is an inverted diamond knot or in other words is inside out after making a foot rope knot if you roll the crown down over the wall you get a diamond knot

Brilliant, thank you! But the issue I always have is tightening up the knot taking up the slack. That's always 'taken for granted' in this type if clip and it is very hard to do unless one understands the structure of the knot. Pretty sure i end up tightening and loosening the same strands and it all gets really tight without getting a good shape 😞 I do have an acquired brain injury which doesn't help.

Working the slack out of a knot is definitely one of the harder things to master. Even I had a lot of trouble with that too! Whenever I get confused, I just start from the terminal end of the cords and work my way backwards through the knot to the start. Sorry to hear about your brain injury, but I hope tying knots can somehow aid with your recovery, all the best!

the diamond knot is very easy to commit to muscle memory and to tie without looking if you use the right tying technique. Is there any such technique for this? The technique I'm referring to is this kzread.info/dash/bejne/fKWjyNxmcbXSdbg.html

Its just aweful when you guys cut videos like this, makes us loose focus on what you're doing, and then we'rr jusy trying to figure if evrtytjong is of because your hands moved amd then you keep explaining and we can't keep up. Make it one straight video, with as less "details" and explanations as possible, this also males us loose focus. Just move your handr veerrry slowly, no need for all this talk....
